what do you guys think about kickers? this year in the 2 leagues i'm commish i took out the kicker and added a flex (w/r/t).

they're just so damn pointless and there's no strategy in drafting them. i think it will make the leagues more competitive.
Thanks man. Yeah, i did miss out on the top tier WR, need to do something about it... In our league people don't trade all that much for some reason. Most likely i'll have to get somebody from wavers. That kid on Giants (Victor Cruz i believe) caught my eye in the preseason and he is obviously still available. i'll see how it goes...
In regard to kickers, they are kind of useless, but it sort of adds a feeling of realism, if that makes any sense.

Gaffney or Anthony Gonzalez would be nice pickups if they're available.

Did our Sharks board draft today. 12 teamer, 7th pick (PPR). I like this team a lot.

QB - Ryan
WR - Andre Johnson
WR - Randy Moss
RB - Arian Foster
RB - Reggie Bush
TE - Jermichael Finley
Flex - D-Jax
Flex - Mike Wallace
D - NJG

Bench

WR - Gaffney, A-Gonzalez, Naanee
RB - Hardesty, Westbrook
QB - Stafford

I'll work on the RB situation. And I might flip AJ/Moss for Brees/Rodgers. 12th pick took them both.

That's way to many starting positions. 2 def and 2 kickers? and 2 def players?

Lovin Arian Foster more and more. He's my 3rd rb right now with Wells my #2 so I'll be rotating off and on with Foster in the starting line up.

It's not an error on any of those fronts. It's a very deep yahoo league.

Very nice.

I'm thinking in my one draft I will be able to take Foster as a 4th RB.

I'm worried about Cutler. He's my starter right now but he looks awful in preseason. I may have to resort to Stafford being my #1.

I havent seen him yet, but I know he was bad yesterday. Thats why I made sure to draft another legit QB (E. Manning) in case Cutler is garbage. I made sure I didnt have someone like Hasselbeck as my backup.

As for Stafford, he will be good this year. Stafford has had a full year with Megatron now, and they will both explode this year.

Week 1 though, Detroit @ Chicago. Im going with Cutler.

12 team league: I had the 12th pick

QB- Kevin Kolb
WR- Calvin Johnson
WR- Jeremy Maclin
WR- Terrell Owens
RB- DeAngelo Williams
RB- Jamaal Charles
TE- Chris Cooley
K- Matt Prater
DEF- San Diego

Bench- Beanie Wells
Bench- C.J Spiller
Bench- Reggie Bush
Bench- Vince Young
Bench- Devin Aromashodu
Bench- Devin Thomas

And I just put in a trade offer that didn't get accepted/declined yet. D. Williams & R. Bush for Frank Gore That person is weak at rb depth so I'm hoping they go for it.

I'm a lions fan, but Stafford has been tearing it up this preseason. The last game I don't think he throw 1 pass that was incomplete that he didn't throw either throw it out of bounds on purpose or stay to the ground. With Johnson, Burelson, Sheffler, Pettigrew, Best and a way improved o-line you should expect big things from him this year.

I hope to get Stafford as well, just not as my starter. I think I have a very good shot at getting him as a 3rd QB.

Did my first draft tonight. Here's the results:

QB- Peyton Manning (2nd rd)
WR- Andre Johnson (1st rd)
WR- Percy Harvin (6th rd)
RB- Jon Stewart (3rd rd)
RB- Knowshon Moreno (4th rd)
TE- Brent Celek (5th rd)
W/R/T- Hakeem Nicks (8th rd)
K- Adam Vinatieri (15th rd)
DEF- NO Saints (13th rd)

BN- Eli Manning (7th rd)
BN- Marion Barber (9th rd)
BN- Darren McFadden (10th rd)
BN- Darren Sproles (14th rd)
BN- Austin Collie (11th rd)
BN- Kenny Britt (12th rd)

Overall I like my team. I am more than set at QB with the Manning's.

My RB's are easily the weak spot. It really depends on Moreno's health. If he is 100 percent by week one, or hell, even week two, I will be fine. If he is ineffective when he returns, then I will need to address that because I don't think Barber is a starting fantasy RB, even as a number 2.

My WR's are deep, likely deepest in the league. Andre Johnson is easily the best wideout, and I have depth among my other 4 options as well. Also gambled a bit on the health of Harvin, so that's something to watch as well.

Celek is a top 7 tight end, so I like him at that position. What do u think?

My results from the same draft, first overall pick:

QB: Tom Brady (3)
RB: Adrian Peterson (1)
RB: Ryan Grant (2)
WR: Chad Ochocinco (5)
WR: Mike Sims-Walker (6)
TE: Dallas Clark (4)
R/W/T: Clinton Portis (7)
K: David Akers (14)
D/ST: Tennessee (15)

Bench:
Malcom Floyd, WR (8)
Thomas Jones, RB (9)
Tim Hightower, RB (10)
Derrick Mason, WR (11)
Todd Heap, TE (12)
Matt Cassel, QB (13)

Jamaal Charles going off the board twp picks before me in the second kinda threw my second and third round plans out the window, and Gates and Finley going within a few picks of me in the fourth screwed up my plans for four and five. Overall I'm still pretty happy with my results, even though I don't like drafting first overall.

Heck I might as well throw my picks up! I wanted Charles too, that guy is going to be a beast this season. (9th overall pick)

QB- Carson Palmer
WR- Reggie Wayne
WR- Terrell Owens
RB- Ryan Matthews
RB- Jahvid Best
TE- Chris Cooley
W/R/T- Joseph Addai
K- Lawrence Tynes
DEF- Pittsburgh

BU- Matthew Stafford
BU- Ricky Williams
BU- Laurence Maroney
BU- Dustin Keller
BU- Devin Thomas
BU- Nate Burelson

I will probably be rotating Stafford/Palmer and my third rb will rotate too with Williams getting some starts depending on the match ups. The wr depth is lacking, but I should be able to start three running backs all season and that is what I wanted.

You guys have some pretty good teams. Those rbs on Renegade are very risky.
