Trying to figure who I should start in a H2H league.

Stats are as a follows:

Forwards/Defensemen Stat Categories:

Goals (G), Assists (A), Plus/Minus (+/-), Penalty Minutes (PIM), Powerplay Points (PPP), Shots on Goal (SOG), Hits (HIT)

Goaltenders Stat Categories:

Wins (W), Goals Against Average (GAA), Saves (SV), Save Percentage (SV%), Shutouts (SHO)

Roster is as follows:

C Jamie Benn (Dal - C,LW)
C Sidney Crosby (Pit - C)
C Jason Spezza (Ott - C)

LW Evander Kane (Wpg - LW)
LW Scott Hartnell (Phi - LW)

RW Marian Gaborik (NYR - RW)
RW Tyler Seguin (Bos - C,RW)

D Sami Salo (Van - D)
D Mike Green (Was - D)
D Nick Leddy (Chi - D)
D Luke Schenn (Tor - D)

G Miikka Kiprusoff (Cgy - G)
G Roberto Luongo (Van - G)

BN Henrik Zetterberg (Det - C,LW)
BN Ilya Kovalchuk (NJ - LW,RW)
BN Jaromir Jagr (Phi - RW)
BN Martin Brodeur (NJ - G)
IR Chris Pronger (Phi - D) IR

I need to figure out who I should start on a regular basis.

Any comments would help.

C: Seguin, Crosby, Zetterberg
LW: Benn, Hartnell/Kane(Whoever is playing hottest.)
RW: Gaborik, Jagr
D: Only have 4 to play.

G: Kipper, Luongo

I would trade Kovalchuk, and Brodeur if even possible. Try to upgrade goaltending, drop Brodeur if you have to and get someone on the waiver wire. He's just not worth holding on to, if you ask me. Definitely try to package him up first though.

You have great C depth, you could try to ship off Seguin or Zetts + Kovalchuk for a goalie, replace the C you trade with Benn or Spezza in your line-up, then play Hartnell, and Kane at LW. Grab a LW/RW from the waiver wire as a spare forward.

Thanks for the advice man. I am trying to see if I can flip Jagr and Brodeur for Ryan Miller and Dan Boyle.

I figure I can try and buy low on both Miller and Boyle and sell high on Jagr. Worst case scenario, I put Kovalchuk or zetterberg there instead of Jagr.

I gotta ask though you sure you want to do that trade. It looks like Melrose is taking you behind the woodshed bud.

It's a risk trade. I'm buying high, and selling low, plus I just took over that team for fun, and wanted to get a blockbuster going to see if we could shake our teams up.

I think the value is close, unless Ovechkin suddenly explodes and Getzlaf and the Ducks pick up their play, then it is a clear win for him.

I guess we'll see!

I need to shake things up on my team too. I gotta get a goalie.

Meh. I swapped Kovalchuck for Franzen in another league and Johan's been a rock solid performer. It's going to hurt to lose him if Ovechkin can't turn it around, especially since JVR and Letang aren't playing. Definitely some "dice rolling" on both sides, but I thought values were pretty fair and it's all in good fun for both of us.

I made the miistake of dropping franzen during detroits losing streak. Then detroit turns it around and franzen gets a hattrick after i drop him. I would have won the week if i kept him.

a few things happened last night:
got really drunk
added a comanager to league 5 with me
he vetoed the trade (I dont care either way it goes, but just a heads up it wasnt me)

I traded M.Koivu for Hejduk and B.Ryan in my keeper league. I think I win that trade.

Who is the co-manager and why is he an asshat? A league vote should have been done before the veto. Please remove the retard. He does realize this trade is between the 6th and dead last seeded team, right?

Edit: Not to mention MJr and I just did the league a favor by taking over inactive teams. Apparently he's not interested in active competition, so why should we waste our time?

it should go through even with one veto. I believe the way vetoes work is that its got to be a majority vote. So if more than one person votes yes then it will go through. Even if only person votes no as in this case, and nobody else votes yes, it still should go through as in a ten person league theres no majority.

edit: it seems one vote nixes the whole thing, which is silly. I apologize, I would resend the trade and I will ask him not to veto it.

Cam Ward

How the hell do Loungo and Schneider combine for a shutout, but neither is credited for one!?!?!?

It is really just not my year for fantasy goaltending.
--

It has dawned on me that I don't have enough RW'ers after my trade with Ailupohile. I've got a couple of proposals out there. Hit me up if anyone has a RW to deal for a LW or C.

I saw that too, and I think one goalie has to play the whole game for it to be considered a shutout.

My goalies (crawford and rinne) have not played well in 3 weeks. I'm on my way to losing this week and going to 5-4 after a 3-0 start to the season

I'm wondering if I should pick up Enstrom and let him sit on the bench for a few weeks until he comes back...

I'd be happy to trade for one... except the only one I'd really want is Thomas, and I'd want to include Hiller in the trade too from my end then, among other pieces obviously. Doubt you'd want that haha

Tim Thomas is virtually untouchable guys.

I'm willing to move Miller, Elliot, Pavlevec.

Elliot preferably.
