Ok what is the word on Kim Johnsson? I know he was paid a lot and has concussion issues? Are those cleared up and would he be worth a 1 year with bonuses type deal? I am thinking in case Mitchell goes elsewhere

I think his concussion might have been the career ending type. He got badly hit in the head a few times in short succession and his head has been spinning since. He's gonna wait until his head clears up before making his decision but it's looking like he's probably done.
Exactly, which is why some of us are frustrated he hasn't added any veteran help...Voynov is only 19-20, Hickey played 1/2 a year in the AHL, Teubert hasn't even played in the AHL, and Muzzin has 14 AHL games under his belt. Voynov is the only one who has played more than 1 full season.
Well Andrew Peters signed a 2 way one year deal with Florida...this is one of the guys I was hoping Lombardi would sign until Westgarth is healthy and can go down to Manchester and protect the young guys...Both the Kings and Monarchs will be without an enforcer to start the 2010-11 season.

Peters is useless, it was amazing to see what the difference in W-L when he was in the lineup. I'm still annoyed that Lou signed him to a 2 year deal last year when he was in camp on a tryout contract. And now we have his buyout against the cap for the next two years.
Wasn't Sean O'Donnell a very late addition as well? In retrospect he was a fantastic acquisition and we got him for nothing. Something will come up eventually.
@ESPN_Burnside: Phoenix GM Don Maloney tells us no truth to rumors Viktor Tikhonov is demanding a trade and the the 28th pick in '08 is expected in camp
So assuming all the RFAs are back, Schenn & Clifford make the team this year, we'll have about 7 roster spots to fill.
We're looking at something like this...

Three glaring holes, unless you count Smyth as a #1 LW, which I don't. Defense can be switched around prospect-wise. Once we resign Doughty, Simmonds, and Johnson, we don't have much room to fill those holes if they sign for an amount similar to what I gave them. Smyth would need to go next summer in my opinion. If Williams has a healthy season, and puts up 20+ goals, I can see him being resigned to a 2-3 year deal worth about the same he's making per season right now. Loktionov could push for one of the top 2 LW positions...

Too bad. I know Lombardi really wanted to draft him.
Something will happen at the center position....Loktionov, Schenn, Cliche and Lewis are all fighting for the center positon behind Kopitar....I see the Kings retaining Handzus and putting two young centers behind them....Stoll is the odd man out.
