The ref was an idiot to stand them up when Lashley had mount, but yeah, he gassed out bigtime.

That's what happens when you pack that much muscle and you can't finish fights early.

He wasn't throwing any punches, he was just sitting on him and resting. Normally I would agree but not in this case. Lashley wasn't doing anything.

Noons with a punch after the bell in the first, an illegal knee in the second, and he picks up the win.

Strikeforce

edit: It's actually on the ref and not Strikeforce but something ****ed up usually happens at their events.

never change Jorge.

I think the ref was already breaking it up when Noons landed that knee though.

e: just to clarify, I don't think Noons should have been DQ'd, but the ref should have been quicker to get in there. Same with the end of the first round. That's the problem with having cards in places like Texas or wherever, you get refs who are way worse than the Vegas/California guys.

**** KJ Noons. Cannot stand that *********. Fight should be contested and turned into a NC.

Good exciting card so far, I dunno why people complain about production, seems decent for North american standards (Can't compare to dream though).

I think their production sucks. The announcers are also terrible.

Loved the talk about Noons vs Mayweather

you're just mad cause he made you look bad for calling him a "pillow puncher"

Geez Jacare's striking has really improved, I would not have bet on him getting the best of Kennedy through 5 rounds of mostly stand-up fighting.

Tough call, but the right one Imo. No the best fight but Jacare deserves it. Honestly I think that Kennedy had a case of nerves, he was not nearly aggressive enough. He will improve, and will get another title shot at a later date.

He gave jacare way too much respect hesitant and not aggressive from opening bell to finish

I'm impressed with Fajjao's takedown defence so far, plus he seems to be scrambling really well once he is on the bottom.

Still not impressed with his power. He was hitting Gurgel with everything he had and only got a KO due to him rocking Gurgel after the bell.

Strikeforce has a new Star in Fejjao. I remember how when Moussasi became the the champion people were saying he would have no compitition. It turns out Moussasi losing has proven to be a blessing in diguise for strikeforce as it has given them two potent lightheavyweights.

While not as deep as the UFC, suddenly the lhw devision in strikeforce is not looking so shallow anymore.

Moussasi
Dan Henderson
Fejjao
King Mo
Babalu

are all legit top-ten fighters.
