8/17/10 - "Wide Open" edition - Which goalie will play the 2nd most games this season

Barring injury or poor play, we know Pekka Rinne enters training camp likely to get 65-70 starts this season with a backup getting anywhere from 10-20 starts.

Those 10-20 starts (20-40 points in the standings) though will likely be very critical in terms of guiding the Predators into the playoffs at season's end and hopefully allowing them to compete for the Central Division title.

I will include an "other" option for those that still believe the Predators will sign a veteran netminder before the season starts, but of the goalies currently slated to play in North America this season...who do you think will play the most games behind Rinne this season?

While you think it over, for your listening and viewing pleasure I present Creed signing "With Arms Wide Open"...

Please vote using the poll above and feel free to explain your answer below...Thanks!

It's either going to be Jose 'The Hair' Theodore or Manny Legace.

Lindback is interesting if he can fix the gaping black hole above his glove he could get the nod.

EDIT: Statistical comparison.

Theo: AGE: 33, 43 starts, 30W-7L-7OTL, GAA: 2.81, .911
Manny: AGE: 37, 24 starts, 10W-7L-5OTL, GAA: 2.81, .907

Can Lindback or Dekanich beat this?

I expect Theo and Niemi to go to Europe simply because they won't get the cash they expect. Manny is a proper fit for the role.
