Did you notice that Berger sounds like Burger.

Burgers don't write. They don't even know hockey. Stop doing this Howard, you are a burger. Silly

Also, I'm a little confused why Leaf fans want him to have a career year when hes going to be a FA. He's already considered by many to be underpaid, and now you want him to post his best numbers?
What do you mean? And I never criticized Kaberle.

This hasn't been the first time Kabby has been offered around in trades. You said it's time to see if hes a man of his word, but his opinion may have changed since recent events.

Hes going to command a decent raise next year, and when he refuses to take a huge paycut to stay in Toronto everyone's going to call him out like he owes it to Toronto to sign for pennies on the dollar.

Schenn really blossoms in his 3rd year and reminds us of why he was a 5th overall pick.

Phaneuf(L) - Schenn(R)
Kaberle(L) - Komisarek(R)
Gunnarsson(L) - Beauchemin(L)

TOI will be spread around pretty evenly on Even Strength depending on who is playing best at the time.
The real difference will be dished out in special teams.

This has potential to be one of the best 1-6 in the NHL.
I definitely think they can carry a young skilled forward group (with good goaltending) into the playoffs for sure!

We may know soon enough. Burke was saying today that he and Kaberle's agent will start talks on an extension during training camp.

Phaneuf and Beauchemin were pretty good together last year...

Phaneuf-Beauchemin
Kaberle-Komisarek
Gunnarsson-Schenn
Lebda

Not if Malone was all that was offered...
I really like this line up at the back end. Tomas and Mike looked really solid together before Mike had to shut down for the season and as I recall, Karl and Luke looked pretty good together when they were paired up. I do remember Luke and Beauchemin not lookings so good. Dion and Francois are both big minute guys, it makes sense to keep them together as well.
