Since the season is nearing closer, which fantasy/pool platform do you use for pools?

I've always used Yahoo Fantasy Sports and I've liked it, but I would like to try new stuff.

Also, I will do one in yahoo again this year and I would like to know if there is anyone interested in being in my fantasy league from HF.

Thank you

My friends and I run our keeper league on CBC Sportsline. It works perfectly.

Also interested here :O I always do it on Yahoo too.. With rl friends the trick is everyone puts 20$ into the pool and they'll check it lol 15 teams and winner could bring home 200+ depends of distribution... It's pretty good for a friendly pool

I'm in on an HF Pool also!

Usually when I do it with friends we use a full roster. So 12 forwards, 6 D & 2 Goalies. You can replace 2 players with undrafted players before Jan 1 and 2 after. Trades between poolers are unlimited. 1 point for a goal or assist, 2 for a defenceman goal, 2 points for SHG, 2 points for a goalie W & 5 extra points for a goalie SO. I'd love to try out a format with +/-, Penalty minutes and wtv else you guys can come up with.

I don't mind the heads up system that much, but in the playoffs it just sucks that if your best players don't produce one week u can be out that easily, even if you dominated all year...

In a pool I had with friends we used the "Fan Points" system, we'd give every stats points (i.e. goals +10, assists +10... for goalies wins +40 saves +1 GA -9... stuff like that) and the person with most points at the end of the system won the pool... That way it's the overall performance of your team all saeson long that gives u a win!

So what you're saying is it's exactly like the real NHL playoffs...

We've been using POOLCRAZY.com for 8 years. It's not well known but it's Canadian and there's a flat-fee of $15. Lots of options and message board + great service.

I been with yahoo forever mainly cuz very user friendly and free!
But last year, me and my friends switched to CBS (costs 100$ before sept 16th for managing your own league). I found it great because there was a multitude of stats you can choose from and we created the ultimate scoring system which we could not have done with yahoo.
But I wish yahoo could update their stat categories and include stuff like Blocked shots, Hits, etc... so we could go back to them cuz it's very user friendly

Been using Sporting News pools since 2004. It's good because people can have the same players, it's a capsystem where every player is a free agent and you have to fit 7 guys under the cap, with two trades per week. Player prices go up and down every day like the stock market -- ie a 500k player can end the season at $5m or a $5m player can go just as far down. So it's basically like being rewarded for constantly making good trades. I like it better than Yahoo because with Yahoo it's basically "okay this is who you drafted, live and die by it all season, with the exception of a few random dropped FA's", whereas Sporting News you actually have to keep up on the league every day and if you don't for a couple weeks, and your players lose money, you can have like $3m less cap space than another guy. If you are smart and calculated you can finish the season with 7 Superstars on your roster as opposed to 2 or 3 with the original cap space given

I made it a tradition to join cyberpresse, or lapress, or whatever and then never go to that site again until the next year.

I have been using http://hockeydraft.ca/ for the last few years, it costs 20 bucks a season.
