What did Tampa trade to Philly for him?

To Tampa Bay
Fedotenko, Tampa Bay's second round in 2002 (later transferred to Dallas who took Tobias Stephan with the 34th pick) and Phoenix' 2002 2nd (later transferred to San Jose who took Dan Spang with the 52nd pick) on June 21, 2002.

To Philadelphia
Tampa Bay's 2002 1st which the Flyers used to select Joni Pitkanen.

To break down the trade even further, the Flyers got the Phoenix pick along with a 2003 1st rounder from the Coyotes (which the Flyers used to take Jeff Carter) when the Flyers sent Daymond Langkow to Phoenix on July 2, 2001.

The Flyers got the Tampa Bay pick (which they dealt back to Tampa Bay) when they traded their 2001 1st round pick to Ottawa (23rd overall) in return for Ottawa's 2001 1st round (27th overall), Ottawa's 2001 7th round pick (225th overall), and the Tampa Bay (which Ottawa acquired previously) second rounder on June 23, 2001.

That may be accurate, but you're leaving out what Tampa got with the two 2nd rounders (Lukowich, Henrich, some other swap got made for picks in '03).

I don't have that info. I took the info I sent from a Flyers book.

One of the 2 2nds turned into Lukowich and a 7th in '03 (not sure who that was). And the other 2nd was traded down for two later picks that ended up as Henrich and Gerard Dicaire.

Yup, that's it. Thank you

I saved that into a .txt document so I have it the next time this comes up (and it comes up ALLLLLL the time). The media guide I have only gives our draft selections, not where the picks came from, and I can never remember which players were from the Philly picks.

i have to give jay feaster alot of credit for that trade... i thought it was the worst trade ever when i saw how good pitkanen was

but fedotenko has really turned it on and was largely responsible for eliminating his old flyer club
