Looks good, though maybe switch Crouse and Barzal.

CBJ won't take Crouse.

What are Canes fans saying between Strome/Marner if they are picking #4? If my Leafs finish 5th I'm guessing they'd select whichever or those two weren't picked 4th

Not a canes fan but I would imagine since they already have a small skilled center in Elias Lindholm, they go with Strome as Staal is starting to get a but older and they'll need a new, big, top line center. While people say size is overrated, it definitely helps on defense and I think a guy like strome has potential to play a better shut down role than Marner or Lindholm.

I agree Jarmo will probably go with the Finnish kid, Rantanen. If he had N.A exposure the entire year he'd probably push the 5, kid has it all: speed, hands, physicality, passing, IceQ.

In your opinion, would they go D or take one of Barzal/Rantanen?

I'm expecting Provorov to go higher.

If that's how the top 5 shakes out and we're at 6, I want Provorov.

Is this a player ranking or a projection of who Pronman thinks each team will pick?

Isn't it usually a week within seasons end?

Hey guys, we can't have anyone posting the contents of the list that aren't available to the public due to copyright laws. You can discuss the list if you can see it without mentioning exactly where certain players are ranked.

And don't turn this into a thread complaining about not seeing the list. If you can't see it, simply move on. It's that easy.

That- that's about it." - Bubba

Well Lindholm isn't small and doesn't play small. That said, I'd see Lindholm as the long term 2nd line center option. I'm almost certain that we'd go for Strome over Marner (because size), but never say never. Marner's frame looks like it could add more bulk and he's a very young 17. Still, I think that Strome does eventually fill the 1st line "C" role once Staal leaves or is traded.

Lindholm will be a 1C eventually. J. Staal is signed another 8 years, E. Staal will likely be re-signed, and they have Nash, Rask, Skinner, etc. all capable of playing Center.

I think the Canes go Marner and it isn't particularly close. Canes have zero NHL-projected RW prospects and lack pass-first playmakers in the top-6. Marner fills both those roles perfectly.

Potential is close, and both have great teammates, but Marner appears to do more with less. Canes org puts a really premium on skating and that is Strome's biggest knock.
