Anyone object to this? My only objection would be other posters might not have posted picks because they thought it was past time.

I'm no where near close to the top of the standings, I haven't posted picks in the last 3 or 4 cards, so even if it doesn't count it doesn't matter to me, just putting my picks out there

Toney is awesome and i actually like his trash talking ,or at least the half i can understand. Dude sounds more authentic and less forced than let's say Sonnen.

Is he an ******* ? Absolutely but i still find him hilarious

I just want Couture to completely school Toney. Dana should know better than to keep letting guys like this fight.

It's a freak show and freakshows = ratings and buyrates. Dana often trashed other orgs for doing this but he's no different. In the end it's all about profits and what sells best.

I mean Kimbo didn't fight in the UFC because he was talented....

GSP would probably be the smallest middleweight in the UFC if he moved up right now.

Not to mention most of the middle weights are in the 6'0-6'2 range. At 5'9'', BJ isnt giving up a huge reach advantage if he were to move to welterweight, he has the frame for it.

Maia is a BJJ world champion in the prime of his athletic career and he trains MMA seriously. He was 6-0 in mma before even entering the UFC. Tony is increasingly irrelevant in boxing let alone mma and is lazy and out of shape. Other than TUF winners, how many guys have made their mma debut in the UFC in recent history? Your comparison is absolutely ridiculous. Toney is brain damaged for god's sakes.

Since you seem to have ignored this, you do realize that BJ won the WW title right? That he is only one of two fighters to win a championship fight in two weight classes? That the only other guy to do so had the advantage of competing in a weak HW division? That he fought the two best WWs of all time, beat one, and lost a questionable decision to the other?

I see all the usual suspects are present and accounted for.

Two great fights tonight. Want to see Penn annihilated -- but that won't happen. Hopefully Captain America takes it to Toney.

It's only recently that Spike has started showing free prelims right? Great idea from a PPV marketing point of view -- at least for the UFC.

You referring to the first fight with GSP? Isn't every Penn loss questionable in his eyes? There's always an excuse right?

In Penn's eyes his second loss to GSP was questionable because of the supposed magical effects of vaseline. That said, he did a lot of damage to GSP in their first fight, though GSP controlled the last two rounds.

That's how I see it too. The vaseline was a non-issue (well, not to Penn).

Regarding their first fight -- I recall one of Penn's cornermen saying words to the effect that because GSP's face was in pretty rough shape that Penn won the fight. The problem was that all the damage occurred in the first round but in the second and third rounds GSP took over. You can't win a fight by winning one round and losing two.

If GSP controlled 2 of 3 rounds how can the decision be questionable?

I would even argue the damage BJ caused in that first round all happened after he got poked in the eye.

I forgot about that. Do you remember what number that was? The second was UFC 94.

edit: 58

Because that first round was arguably a 10-8. Fightmetric has that fight a draw.

BJ clearly won round 1 but he wasn't dominant enough for a 10 - 8 round.
