Help with hockey stick sizing please.

Hello Guys.
First of all I would like to thank anyone that helps me in advance.
My dilemma is: Im a short hockey player 5"5 on feet, going into midget first year (im going to die ) Anyways, how long should my stick be? I know martin st.louis uses a stick thats almost bigger than him for the extra reach, but i've also heard that a smaller stick up to the bottom of your chin gives you more puck control at the cost of shot power and leverage.

Under your chin on your skates, nose in shoes.

For your height, I'd probably check out the Warrior 55 flex or Bauer 60 flex intermediate sticks...unless you're pretty strong. If you use a senior stick and chop it down, you'll have a stick impossible to flex and your shot will suck.

I'd start out with a longer stick as it's easier to cut it down than to make it longer.

I'm that same height and use a One95 intermediate and I find it's perfect for me. In skates, it comes up to just above my nose. Technically, this is too long of a stick but it feels comfortable for me.

I do get a longer reach when playing D, but it does hinder my stick handling abilities sometimes if I'm playing up.

However long you want it to be. It is all personal preference. If you get out on the ice and feel like you need a shorter stick then cut it.

Good advice. Try to use a stick as long as you can without hindering your game. This usually means between the chin to around the mouth on skates. It varies greatly from person to person, depending on playing style, position etc.
