The first thing I said after the Flyers lost that heart-breaking Game 6 OT game was that they won't be back next year. It seems like since I've been a Flyers fan they get so close but are never able to win it. Game 7 ECF versus the Lightning, the Devils comeback, and the Blackhawks series. Does anyone here think the Flyers will win again? Will it be next year, in this era, or beyond Mike Richard's tenure? In the end going into this season I feel like it's going to be another playoff year that ends in heartbreak due to injuries or goaltending. How confident are you that this Flyer's team will win a Cup?
Must keep faith, because there are no guarantees. But the next trip is a lock. Maybe.

Of course they will. Any franchise that is financially solid and has a good fan base more than likely will. Barring an absolute meltdown of some kind that involves the franchise moving, they will win it all again.
No they will never win a Stanley Cup again. The Flyers will go hundreds if not thousands of years without lifting the cup. I feel no need to use a sarcasm smiley because this is a ******** question to ask.
In all reality the talk of this "window" to win is way overblown. This is the NHL, not the NFL where teams win by building through the draft. Any team that is willing to spend up to the cap ceiling has a chanceto compete. Bad prospect pool or not there will always be good players for the Flyers to grab in FA.
Should we change this then? There are 9 teams that have gone at least 30 years without a Cup.
1. Which team will break the Rangers' record of 54 years without a Cup? The Hawks were on their way until ...
2. Will the Flyers become the first team to lose seven consecutive Final appearances? The 6-gamer with the Hawks tied the NHL record for teams losing six straight Final appearances. (Yeah, I know matchups and such, but what did the core of this team learn from 2010?)
