Since Ovechkin is playing for Russia can Montoya replace Esche on Team USA?

Probably, but I don't think that would help the U.S.A.

All age restrictions for this tourny have been scraped. There are no mandatory roster positons for U22 anymore. If the US wanted to add him they could but I bet my left arm they choose someone a little more proven.

A little young blood can't hurt

I'd rather him than seeing them call Barrasso out of retirement.

Mb John Grahame will get the call?

I forget Who the actually named to their roster. But if i had to pick a goaltender for the US id have to go with either Dipietro or Dunam.

USA goaltenders

DiPietro (NYI)
Ty Conklin (Edm.)
Esche (Phi) injured

Trying to think of other US goalies and all I come up with is Grahame, Dunham, Clemmensen, Thomas and Montoya.

Brian Boucher and I think Garth Snow is American.

Boucher would be my choice then

Snow is nothing without those old pads!
