Beleskey Is far more valuable than Mac. Beleskey has the ability to play in all situations and is way more physical. Beleskey has 8 points in 9 games in AHL.

Sadly I can't seem to find any box score that tells what the TOI is for him.
The AHL doesn't appear to track ice time anywhere on their website but according to Lindsay Kramer's recap he played 15 minutes and 28 seconds.

If Lupul can manage to come back and play the rest of the season for us, he'll likely be a leading candidate for the Masterton trophy. We could potentially ice a Masterton line next year even if Selanne retires.

Ah crap yeah we still have Blake for one more year. Oh well I'm just glad Loops is coming back soon

I am all hyped up for Lupes to return. Part of the reason is that this team's recent streak has really not hyped me up a all

With our top 7 forwards (Getz, Perry, Ryan, Koivu, Selanne, Blake, and Lupul)... I REALLY like our top 7. And we will finally add another speed guy to boot!

Lets stop losing 6 in a row, lets get to playing back above .500... lets win our division and conference games.

We need some urgency.

Thanks for the link!

"Waka Waka its Joffrey Lupul making it 3-2 for the Crunch!"

Some interesting announcing style for sure

Lupul Update:
Quote:
Joffrey Lupul will play at least one more game with the Syracuse Crunch, which next plays on Friday. The Ducks would then have to apply for an extension if they want Lupul to play more games in the AHL but they are expected to make a decision after Friday.

In his media scrum coach Randy Carlyle said that Lupul will play “some games” in the AHL this weekend but it is possible Lupul could return to the Ducks on Sunday, when they host Phoenix. - Read More OC Register -

Realistically, how many points do you think Lupul will get this season? What do you think the line combinations would look like? PP units?

I've always liked Lupul.

He will probably start on the 3rd line and then maybe rotate with Ryan depening on how the lines play. My predicted lines:

Ryan-Getzlaf-Perry
Blake-Koivu-Selanne
Sexton/Mac/Belesekey-Bonino-Lupul
Chipchura-Marchant-Parros

He may see some time on the 2nd powerplay unit:
unit 1:
Perry-Getzlaf-Selanne
Lubo-Fowler

unit 2:
Blake/Lupul-Koivu-Ryan
Lubo/Lydman-Sbisa

I would like to see him have some first second line minutes, but as the team stands right now it's hard to justify him on anything but third line.

once Teemu is gone he's pretty much instantly our second line RW, but I don't think him and Bobby need to switch. Bobby plays best with Getz and Perry, and I want him to score 40 goals this year if at all possible.

If he could play LW, then replace blake. but i don't think it would work.

I'm more excited about Lupul replacing Blake on the 2nd PP unit then anything he brings 5 on 5 lol.

very nice read indeed... i really liked lupul whe nhe played for us.. completely different.. pretty good offensively and backchecked while playing physical.. it was pretty awesome imo.. sounds like hes still playing that way.. WHEN he does come up i expect him to be ok for the first couple.. maybe be bad for a couple after that and then hit his stride about 8-10 games in

Zupke reports that Lupul will return to Anaheim Saturday morning and play against the Coyotes Sunday if cleared by team doctors.

Welcome back Lups!

Hopefully Selanne is back tomorrow too. I cant wait to see our top 9 with both back.

Maybe Lupul can play D.

wouldnt it be smarter to put blake on the third line and lupul on the 2nd?

Not with the chemistry Blake shows with koivu and selanne. Blake would be ineffective on our 3rd line.

Lupul also had virtually no chemistry on that line last year.
