2010-2011 Prospects Thread - Washington Capitals
Prospects of the Washington Capitals - 2010-2011 Season Information
General Notes
- Some of the bios are not updated yet for 2010-11 season, but will update the links when there is a new one. In some cases, the link is to the team site or team roster at this time.
- Links to League stats pages will be posted once they are active.
- This thread is not for players expected to play with the Washington Capitals, Hershey Bears and/or South Carolina Stingrays. For now, Johansson is not listed as he is under contract and expected to compete for a roster spot. If he returns to Sweden, he will be added to the players being covered in this thread.
- Eakin is not eligible to play in Hershey until Swift Current's season is complete due to his age and number of WHL seasons.
- An CHL player with 1990 birthyear is considered an overager.
- A player with 1991 or later birthyear is eligible for the U20 WJCs.
- Last season's (2009-2010) prospect thread:

Hopefully all the links work and information is accurate.
First news update, already reported unofficially, but now it's official that Mitchell is Regina's captain for the 2010-11 season.

Sounds like Jared DeMichiel (goalie, RIT grad) is invited to camp with the idea of him being in Hershey or SC.

Yes in July he signed an AHL/ECHL contract with Hershey for Hershey/SC and indicated at the time the Washington camp invite and organizational opportunities were factors in making his decision.
See the contract thread for the list of players signed to AHL, AHL/ECHL, and ECHL contracts.

I don't really like the multiple SO attempt IIHF rule. The Marek Maliks and Matt Bradleys need their chance to shine too!

Click that address if you want to see E. Kuznetsov playing this season's first KHL game. 2nd period is on now and Kuznetsov's team is down 3-0.

He got that penalty for checking to the head. Here's the highlights of the game including the hit.
