DeSimone could turn into a great #2/3 center tweener for you guys.

Wey/Boston College
- Win 6-2 and 3-0 at Denver
- Wey +2 in both games, 1 penalty

Wey is +6 with 1A if you count BC's exhibition contest with Toronto in 4 games.

He has started every game and anchors a PK unit that has held opponents to "no goals" on 23 powerplay attempts this regular season in all road contests. At least 4 of those opportunities were 5-3 if you look at penalty statistics.

BC is the number one ranked team in college hockey and has outscored their opponents 11-2 so far. Denver University was ranked 6th in the nation before their 2 tough losses over the weekend at home to BC.

Shame you cannot see blocks or minutes played as he historically contributes significantly in both categories.

Waterloo Blackhawks at 2-2 could sure use him in the Black and Red. Hope he stays healthy this year.

Really will be interesting to see if Wey can pick up his skating as he suggested was his weak point for professional hockey. I know a lot of us have some hopes for the kid.

Bhawks fan. Your Wey updates are appreciated as always. High hopes for him and his continued development. I haven't caught a BC game yet but hope to soon. Stats don't tell the whole story for any player especially for dmen but better than nothing. I know I try to provide context when I have it for a game and more so when I post the bigger summary updates.

How many teams passed on him? And how many here wanted the Caps to take him?

IIRC, Tedenby was the guy many wanted to take in Gustafsson's stead.

I'm Really happy to be hearing this about Orlov:
Quote:
Long-term, his talent level and ability compares to most of the top puck-moving defense prospects. With the proper development, he could be a top-pairing defenseman with power play capabilities.

Orlov w/ 1G & 1A in a 2 - 1 win (the assist was on the GWG in OT)

He's still sitting at -5

Speaking of the idea of prospects playing each other, Anderson and Lethbridge beat Mitchell and Regina 4-3 in a shootout last night. Anderson credited with 30 saves.

Updates about CHL vs Team Russia in the 2010 SUBWAY Super Series, November 8 – 18

Team WHL Roster – Prince George, BC – November 18, 2010
- Cody Eakin

OHL Rosters

Team Russia -

- Galiev expected to play for Team Russia in the games against the Q (and some of his teammates) Nov 8 and Nov 11 link

- Has anyone seen anything with a more complete list of the Team Russia roster? It wouldn't surprise me if it hasn't been finalized yet, but if it is out, I'd like to see it.

Sunday game updates

Regina/Mitchell vs Swift Current: Eakin not in the line-up after leaving yesterday's game during the second period; Mitchell with a PPG, game in progress

...for more on Eakin and SC, incl. audio and video, see Shawn Mullin's blog..."As for the injury to Cody Eakin, Darren Evjen told me it didn’t appear to be a serious/long term thing."

Grubauer with 27 saves...Kingston vs Sault Ste Marie 3-2 win in OT

Dunn in goal for SCSU's 2-1 loss to Minnesota, 22 saves link

Finishing up yesterday's summary, Regina won 7-4; Swift Current was without Eakin and according to the Regina beat writer's blog updates, it's a knee injury; hopefully, a minor one. source for Eakin injury info.
