What is the Canucks best game of the season?

There's actually a few contenders for this title.

Obviously tonight could be one, overcoming the hardship of some unlucky goals and staying mentally tough to secure the victory in an excited back and forth game.

Last night in Phoenix, playing a full 60 minutes of hard backcheck and forecheck and making the opposing goaltender pay.

And another game way back when, one of the most exciting games I remember watching against the wings in our 6-4 win when the game literally went back and forth for 60 minutes.

So throw out some other games you remember just being amazing.

Obviously the term "best" is arbitrary as it can be best entertainment, best effort, best comeback, etc., so just go by your own definition and make sure to explain your reasoning.

Dec 1 - Vancouver 7 at Calgary Flames 2

Beating the Flames is always enjoyable. I remember the 1980s when both Alberta teams used to kick the Canucks around pretty regularly so its very nice seeing the shoe on the other foot now.

Dec 28 - Philadelphia Flyers 2 at Vancouver 6

Ending that losing streak at home to Philadelphia. Just one more sign perhaps that this year and this team are going to be different.

Jan 3 - Vancouver 4 at San Jose Sharks 3

San Jose in the past has been very tough to get wins against so beating them in their own building was another good sign.

Presuming we have to win for it to be considered a "good" game, I'd say the 6-4 win over Detroit.

Whatever game wins us the Presidents Trophy. Oh and then before that, the game that wins us the cup.

I would say the 4 3 win on the 2nd night of back to
Backs vs the sharks was very impressive.

This, the Hawks games had more intensity (at least from a fan perspective) to them but the Wings games were just plain exciting.

Last nights game was definitely not our best. I thought we got outplayed for most of the night but scored when it mattered.

IMO the 3 Detroit games were our best all year. And the best NHL games all year period. Even though we lost the last 2, I still think that those games were played on such a high level that no team in the league would have beaten us or Detroit on those nights.

Hopefully they'll play it in round 4 of the playoffs...

I don't understand the people picking blow-outs. They're fun but certainly not the highest level of entertainment usually.

For me my favourite two games this season were the 6-4 Detroit game, and the 3-0 Chicago game.

I think it was asked for the best not the most exciting game, so i go with the win over the Flyers, that was almost perfect hockey.

If i should pick the most entertaining one, it would be a close race between the 6-4 over the Wings and last nights game against the Hawks.

I think we are all hoping for that, but I meant to include "So far" in the title. It should be implied but of course SOMEONE has to bring it up =P

Our best game is yet to come... ask me in June

But so far, the 6-4 win over the Wings was right up there.

every regular season game without a season-ending injury to the sedins, kesler, or luongo at this point is a win

seeing what happened to malkin, and what could've happened to ovechkin thanks to gutless puke matt cooke today, makes me just want to see the canucks stay healthy going into the playoffs

dammit, first game after i write this and ballard pulls a malkin

i'd trade a few losses if it meant that the d-core could stay healthy

As far as entertainment value and intenseness, the two Detroit games and that last Chicago game.
