Kovalev in Quebec helping kids with heart problems

I don't care what so many people said about him in the past. This guy is as far from the Russian who only wants to get him money disappear in the playoffs and go home. Kovy is a great guy and I hope he ends up getting the recognition he deserves.

Typical Kovalev. Selfish ******* only helps people when he feels like it, instead of every minute of day.

I don't think anyone thinks he's a bad person, the problem people had with him is his inconsistency on the ice.

I'm happy he's continuing his charity work here.

That about sums it up
No one has ever said a word about his off-ice work
It's the on-ice work that left some scratching their heads

and best of luck if your ever confuse/ mix the two

This on the ice thing is getting old, every player performs differently over the season for whatever reason. Some perform more consistently some will have flashes of brilliance every few games, both types of players are considered clutch in my books. Kovy's numbers are consistent throughout every end of season except one or two. I personally never thought he lacked heart on the ice, but I also never expected him to carry the team, that was a role us, the fans, gave him once we caught that flash of brilliance. No other team had put so much expectations on him.

I miss Kovy, Cammy has rightfully taken his place but I would have him back any day of the week for his on and off ice antics.

It would be quite a scenario if the Sens were out of the playoffs and the Habs picked him up at the deadline. Not saying it'd be for the best, or even necessarily that I'd want it to happen, but if Kovy came back for a good playoff run, man.... that'd be huge.

And as everyone has said, he is a kind hearted man for sure. No one can deny the world being a better place with his contributions to it

What? I never liked the guy, but he always took his game to another level in the playoffs. It was the only time he actually tried, really.

The guy has a big heart. I would welcome him back to Montreal anytime as long as he's not the go-to guy... A Kovalev on the second line would be great...

Um, you guys are actually agreeing here. Note that he used the phrase "as far from"... meaning "not".

I don't think people ever questioned his off ice activities.

I don't miss him as I don't think he fits the team anymore but I'll always be a fan. I haven't liked a habs player more than Kovalev in a long while.

I wouldn't be surprised if he decides to finish his career here.

I loved his play. I miss the Markov-Kovy combo on the PP, the way he handled the puck, how he could such an artist and the next sequence, just score an old school slapshot goal.
