Wouldn't be surprised if it was because of his Twitter page. Took some personal shots at Upton that I thought crossed the line on Friday...today he's out of a job. I'll miss all the cute nicknames he had for everyone and meaningless interviews with guys that went to Miami. Duemig isn't much better, but at least he knows hockey exists.

...and his twitter page is gone.
What'd he say about Upton? The usual "rah rah rah you're lazy" ****?
As a former member of the media, and having watched things such as the Dan Gilbert debacle (seriously, blue Comic Sans font?!), my philosophy is it is okay to criticize, but you also need to have tact in doing it.
Saying somebody is lazy and you would like to see more fight and passion out of the person is one thing. Making direct, derogatory attacks at the person, such as calling them a D-bag (to play on an example listed earlier in this thread) is not right, and the person should be suspended, fired, whatever the situation calls for.
Having an opinion -- even if valid -- does not give an accredited member of the media the right to go over the top and deeply attack the person. Even if it's the local blowhard on the sports talk scene, he's still in media because people listen to him. Maybe not the news-reporting media that we hold with the highest regard, but still in the media nonetheless.
People who have to remind you that they are "edgy, entertaining and controversial" are usually horrible people. He's the Carlos Mencia of former sports radio hosts.

Exactly. Your actions and style should sell itself without you having to flat out sell it. If people like it, they'll keep tuning in. If they don't, you'll be collecting government cheese next week.

You know, if he didnt get **** canned on Monday, the Rays were getting an email.
On a totally separate note, this ******* was the biggest ****ing ********* on the face of the earth. He was a horrible ****ing human being, and each and every one of you should thank your lucky stars that you did not have the "pleasure" of knowing this ****ing toolbag. It was long overdue. Karma is a ****ing *****. There is a special place in hell reserved for this ****er. Not one person is sad, we are all laughing our ***** off at the *****.
With so much unusual stuff throughout history, why did the History Channel find it necessary to fill their programming with crap like on how aliens instructed the ancient Egyptians to build the pyramids?
I see they were taking people's jobs back then too.

That guy in the State Farm commercials that play about every 5 minutes... Is really starting to annoy me. I have to mute the TV or change the channel...UGH!!!
