How much did they sign him for? If it's more than league minimum..

Wishart will take his spot, no worries Bobsled. I predicted it by the end of last year and I'm sticking with it. Jones will rot in the AHL, probably on the third pair.

Watch it be a 2 way deal. An AHL vet isn't the worst thing to sign...

Eh, we're Lightning fans. We've seen much much worse than that out of our D. Although I will admit to hoping not to see much of that kind of thing this season.

Granted, but it was really disheartening seeing the "Randy Jones will cost the Kings at least one playoff game" prediction come to fruition in OT, game 1 at Vancouver no less.

Kings coming home 2-0 in that series? Would have been crazy.

I would be ecstatic if Jones costs us a playoff game.

Boucher:"Okay randy listen closely. To stop you need to turn your legs side ways. I know it feels unnatural but thats how its done."

Jones:"You mean like this coach?"(skates full speed, tries to stop and runs feet first into the boards)

Boucher:"Dear ****ing god..... "

I'm actually surprised that they haven't traded for Mathieu Carle or something.

Wow, really? That's awful.

He wasn't good at all last season, relative to the rest of the league. But i suppose he could get better. The other two guys are clearly plugs at this point. But is Randy Jones better? No. They're all depth.

lol @ 'legit top-pairing defenseman' btw

No, i'm comparing his value relative to the rest of the NHL. Big problem: He didn't play a full season.

I know it's relatively meaningless, and it's not the basis of my argument, but HF rated Lundin as a 6.0C... Is that inaccurate? (Keeping in mind where we're posting at the moment?)

So it does work both ways.

Yeah, cause all he did was bascially shut down no-name scrubs like some Ovechkin dude. He's awful.

he's a top pairing d-man on a marginal Bolts unit.

To a loaded or high-talent one like Philly (pre-blueline monopoly) or Vancouver, he's more of a nice okay piece.
