Ouch! I'm a bit iffy for that time, if for no other reason than because I have an obligation the next day, and I can't be yawning in people's faces. I might be able to make it though, if I can shift things around. Do you have at least 2 other goalies already for the 25th? If so, then please take it and run with it. I wouldn't want you to hold this up on my account.

I'm still out. My knee, while much better, is still kind of sore. It wouldn't take too well to this game, not yet.

Wish I could make it.

Unfortunately, I've got at least a couple more months to go before I can get back on the ice. Turns out I had some muscle and the ulner nerve trapped between my humerus fracture which prevented it from healing at all.

This was about 3 weeks before the 50 staples, a 6" plate, and 9 screws were installed.

Have fun all

You know, I was just thinking the same thing myself! Perhaps we should plan something for springtime, when more reasonable starting times become available. The only date when I know I won't be available is Saturday, March 5th. Other than that, I don't believe I have any conflicts. What do you think, guys?

My brother got a bunch of old equipment for his brief stint on the high school hockey team...if it fits me I will definitely play.

However, I am terrible. Haven't skated in a few years, can't stop unless I toe drag or crash into the boards, can skate backwards at a crawling pace, can't shoot cuz the puck feels like a 100lb weight on my stick, and can't turn right too well. Not sure how enjoyable that's gonna be for everyone else

EDIT: When I say terrible that implied that I can actually play hockey. I can't. I can skate and can hold a stick though, that's about it.

The time has come for me as a hockey Dad. Therefore, have committed to a new therapeutic regiment in regard to my back injuries. Involves large needles and laying ass up on a table, while having full confidence my doctor received at least B's as opposed to D's. That, and his ipod isn't full of Barry Manilow and show tunes.

The things you do for your kids. I want them to see me play at least once before it's too late, and teach them what I can a/b the game. Anyway, assuming all goes well, I'd love to skate w/ some of you guys assuming I can make it.

Edit: Just saw the date on this thread, my bad.

Depending on when and where I'd be game. This winter has been miserable for me to make games so far. Thank god I'm moving this spring so I can be nearer to 4 rinks, have my equipment where I live, and be up for games all the time.

I enjoyed watching the last one. I'll have to ask my orthopedic surgeron if I can start skating with a goal of playing. After I revive him with smelling salts, I'll have my answer.

I'm not saying this to discourage you because I truly want everyone to play and I'm not very good myself but you'd have fit right in during our first few of these.

The past couple however were rife with legit talent. I'm amazed at how good the games were over the last year and half or so (either that or I'm just so bad that I'm easily impressed)

Seriously though, there is room for everyone at these skates. The whole point is being able to get together with people we only know by avatar and screen name.
