Last round of cuts

Last round of cuts are this week.

How did everyone play this weekend.

Who will be the team to beat?

The Monarchs sat the following kids on the weekend:
Keane, Stephensen, Court, Layte, Johnson, Burston and Ushackus

Monarchs made their final cuts last night.

Goalies - Jones and toutant were released
Def - Quinn Werbowski and Pollard were released
Forwards - Cardinal and Oldwalk were released.

Anyone else heard of any other cuts?

Rural boys

There are some pretty impressive rural boys out there too , Cole Oliver and Meyer Nell are very strong in SW Manitoba with impressive stats , as well as Ashton Anderson and Jake Coulter. These boys just don't get the same exposure as kids who play AA during the regular season , such as the very competitive Winnipeg AA league. Forming AA teams in rural areas looks like a possibility , but Hockey Manitoba hasn't given the green light yet. It would be great to see these boys competing in AA during regular season. At least they have the AAA summer hockey season.

Riel how did you come up with the list of players? Seems to be missing alot and including a bunch that didn't make AAA. Not complaining just wondering how you compiled the list.

I was thinking Monarchs then Warriors, but I think the Warriors need the scoring from Blaine and the physical from Kee.
Hawks are a surprise so far!

I think it will be the monarchs and then the sharks.

I think the monarchs might be in trouble with their goaltending.

Thoughts anyone?

It's a WHL thread

Maybe 20 will be drafted. Huge physical changes between now and then. Don't think you need to worry about anyone from AA at this time.

You maybe right that only 20 will get drafted, but are wrong about the AA part. There are alot of talented boys who are rural that should be on that list. I guess we will have to wait and see after this springs Director's Cup as this list will definitly change. To me this list looks like the team line ups from last years Winnipeg AA teams with a little mix of the Spring teams. Like I said before I am not complaining, just wondering, because if this is the case it really isn't insightful. Some names from rural that come to mind that are deserving to be on the list are :

Derek Wood
Rylee Zimmer
Tyler Jeanson
Devon Skoleski
Mario Petit
Matt Leblanc
Riley Beauchemin
Braden Groot

Also what about the goalies?
