I have Gagne, and I'm trying to decide how patient I'm going to be with him.

haha, zherdev is not a good pickup.
i ended up with the last draft choice in my league's autodraft, so my star power consists of datsyuk, carter and gagne. i had olli jokinen but i dropped that ******* real fast. i have basically nobody who can score goals, so i really need the carters and gagnes of the world to have banner years.

Picking last sucks donkey dick. I've always thought that picking in the top five or so is a huge advantage, but I've encountered people who like picking last so I guess it's a personal thing.
I'm in five leagues this year and I'm winning my one-year league (that ended on a really sour note last year). Only other league I'm doing well in is the Flyers board ESPN league and I don't expect that to last.

yeah i picked second to last last season, and i basically shuffled the entire league through my team depending on who was on a hot streak. it worked out, i finished 3rd, but it's a pain in the ass. on the plus side i have thomas, lundqvist, and miller in goal, so hopefully thats points for me. my defense is stacked too, so i'm really gonna rely on them to produce assists. goal scoring is almost non existent though.
Yeah i just want to make sure one of them wasn't just diagnosed with cancer or something. the guy offering me the trade might be sort of pissed i tried to trade him dallas clark two days ago in fantasy football.
edit: actually, looking at his team, i think he just wants to get carter and kimmo on his team. the only other flyer he has is leino.

Fantasy-wise, all three players he offered you are at least as valuable as what you'd be losing. Kessel will produce more than Huselius, Keith will produce more than Timonen and Staal will likely produce more than Carter.
Cases like this are the reason I try to grab a couple Canucks in my local pools. Everyone overvalues the hometown talent and you can score great returns.
I do believe that trade could bequeath you with the title "Keith the Thief" a la Mr. Allen.
yeah, i can't complain. i get the feeling carter will consistently produce later on, but i'm also confident keith will do better than timonen. so hell yes.
It keeps on raining **** on Sheldon Souray. First he gets demoted to the AHL, now he broke his hand in a fight with Matt Clackson of our Adirondack Phantoms
It's obvious I don't know what goalie interference is,'' coach Pete DeBoer said. “I don't know what hitting from behind is, I don't know what interference is. I need to call the league and get myself a tutorial on what those penalties are because, if those aren't hits from behind in the first period on Kulikov and then goalie interference in the third period, then I obviously don't understand the description of the rules. I don't make that call.''
Said captain Bryan McCabe: “We all saw it was interference. Refs make mistakes once in a while and they missed the call. Obviously it's a game changer. It was a 1-1 game, probably going to overtime. They missed a call, blatant interference. Clemmer had no chance to stop that puck. What are you going to do.''
Toronto held a 1-0 lead after scoring on a Tyler Bozak goal late in the first period, but tied it up when defenseman Dennis Wideman fired a long shot from the top of the slot on a power play to beat Jean-Sebastien Giguere with 5:03 left in the second to tie things up.
Florida seemed to be getting the better of the Leafs in the third, putting a lot of pressure on Giguere, but with 8:58 left, the Leafs were able to keep the puck deep in the Florida zone and get the lead back. Fredrik Sjostrom dug the puck out off the back boards and sent it back to Tim Brent in the slot. His long shot hit Orr's skate as he and Clemmensen were tangled up, the puck going into the empty net.
“I don't believe it was a legitimate goal and I'm not going to sit here and embarrass anyone, but it should have been disallowed,'' said Clemmensen, who made 24 saves. “He tackles me to the ground then the puck goes into the open net. The replay clearly shows that. It changes the outlook of the game with eight minutes to play. Now we have to press and they end up scoring the third. It was a momentum changer. It's one thing to lose. It's another to lose like that.''

One day he'll figure out that he needs to stop fighting.
Uncle Petey's wallet will likely be short a few dollars, but good for him for saying this stuff. It's about time all the coaches and players did and maybe the league will do something about it.
