Christ no. The Sharks rolling with Niitty and Greiss.
It doesn't say the Sharks are dealing for price:
Quote:
"The trade would involve another #1 going back to Montreal, and a defenseman who would be flipped to San Jose for a quality forward with size."
It says Montreal would get a different number 1 and a d-man and the d-man would be moved to SJ for a forward... from the description Clowe or McGinn maybe?

I see, well at least that's plausible.
Sorry, I make it a point to avoid going to hockeybuzz.com when I can.
..but I'll post it anyway just so I can take a shot at him in the process
Thank you.
No one, far as I can tell, is suggesting that one can't/shouldn't post rumors from Eklund.
But can we please cease and desist with the "too cute" line? You know: "We all know its from Eklund (wink, wink) and it will nevvvver happen...but...".
Spare us the hypocrisy. Either you consider it worthy of your and our reading time...or you don't. To label something as crap, and then STILL post it is to insult fellow posters' intelligence.
All rumors are not the same. Either a rumor has some validity or not. Why bother us with one you yourself deem as having no merit?

I don't blame you, just saying it's got nothing to do with Price going to SJ according to the rumour but that SJ gets whoever this d-man is for a forward, Price would be moved somewhere else.
EDIT:
Also looking around I cannot see a team that has the D core and goaltending to make this work.

No worries - I'm not dictating what you or anyone else should write, and my comment was not delivered with any malice. Was just offering up an opinion.

It's illogicial.
Just my opinion.
I disagree. I'm a lot more forgiving of this stuff during the offseason because, well, it's the offseason.
It may seem silly and unoriginal to say "I know it's from Eklund, but..." before posting the rumor. However, it's akin to saying, "I know this trade will never happen, but what do you think of the value?"
It's a topic for discussion. It's a chance for people to look at the vase in the living room from perhaps a slightly different angle at a different time of day. It's the same vase, but maybe there's something you hadn't seen before that's worth discussing.
And for the record, I dislike Eklund, so this isn't an Eklund apologist talking. It's just the possibility for an interesting discussion, and at this point, people have to add the Eklund disclaimer you dislike, because they don't want to be mistaken as someone who blindly follows the crap he spews.
