I think he definitely makes the roster, but I don't think he will dress for every game.

I'd say his chances to escape the healthy scratch list are very slim.

I think he will play 72 games if he isn't injured.

with every other team in our division sporting a heavyweight (or two in the Oilers) we may get pushed around a lot. I think Richards will get a feel for how the other coaches are going to play us and dress accordingly. Sure Ivanans is a liability out there, but if he has a year like boogaard did against the oilers we're not going to be winning many games missing several roster players for weeks each. With Staubitz out there at least we have the threat of retribution--you crush our Koivu we crush your...whoever.
I dunno.

TL;DR if our division goons it up against us (i believe they will--i would, looking at our roster) Staubitz will see well over half the season.

I'll say 55 games, maybe more with injuries. Two goals, six points, 8 fights.

He's going to play a good amount but also learn how to make a mean popcorn sort of like the John Scott role last season.

Russo article on Staubitz and Eric Nystrom. Something that I took away from the article was that Staubitz is still learning the forward position (he played D up until two years ago) and isn't as comfortable with it. That sort of gives the impression that he'll be used more for a fight role than anything given the pest abilities of Clutterbuck and Nystrom.

/facepalm...He better play more than half the season. And he better get at least 10 points or so.
