what was up with all the penalties. I heard it was crazy first half with London getting a lot. Then Owen Sound went through 8 straight minutes at end of 2nd/start of 3rd killing penalties, then went 6 straight minutes later in the 6th which combined to get the Knights back into the game. From an impartial knight fan (cause I know there's some good ones on here) Was Owen Sound retaliating for the earlier stuff, or was a few of them a little shady? Please don't take this as ignorant, I'm just curious as I always am when that many penalties are called one after another until a team scores, it's nothing against London, it's more of a general question that happened to happen at the Knights game.

The first two periods were about 80% ******** calls with OS getting 3 5 on 3s. So after 2 periods, London can do no wrong and get a few PP. OS literally got penalty for checking the puck carrier. Terrible hockey game and this year we have double the idiots reffing evey single game. They might actually top the last few years as the most terrible officiating even though I thought it was impossible.

Washyourcrack was the ref... when he's in London he makes sure 9000 people see him. Alot of questionable calls but there were alot of calls that were right.

London was undiscipline, unorganized and not ready to play. Erlich benched..D'Orazio should be.

Missing.... very offensive minded D-man. You know were struggling on the PP when Moffat gets tossed out there. Then the kid you expect to score 50 goals(with the best shot on the team) is on the goalline waiting for the puck.... You don't see Stamkos hanging around the goalline on the PP when he scores his goals. Put Griffith on the goalline and Knight to flot between the hash marks and the dot. Simple.

London needs to forecheck... enough of sitting back and waiting... 2 of the goals OS had a welcome mat at the blueline... you should never be untouched when you enter the defensive zone.

Knights came out and werent moving their feet. OS got to the puck first for most the first 2 periods. Lackluster effort. There were a few brushes of the goalie, a couple facewashes but not areal physical dirty game as the amount of penalties may suggest. Most of the penalties were earned. JUst that some similar infractions werent called. 1 ref made 90% of the calls which is always weird. OS was the better team on the ice regardless of officiating.

An O fer weekend.

Zero organization in there game... nobody was ready to play... turnover central.

Varone hurt. Athanasiou scoring his first along with Namestinkov. That was the bright spot along with another good game from Houser.

Solid effort, albeit against a weaker team.

I liked the lines tonight, wanna keep them the same tomorrow night Dale?

Griffith/Namestnikov/Knight
MacDonald/Erlich/Martin
Brown/DeSousa/Sanza
Tierney/Elser/Terreri

I liked the idea of putting Terreri with the youngest/smallest forwards, they had a good forcheck going when they played. Griffith seems like a good playmaker for Knight and the Russian is pretty much the only centre worth first line min. I'd like fragile Varone traded to keep Sanza. He can definitely score more this year given the time/linemates. Brown was surprisingly good.

Regarding Names... He's played well with what he's been giving. He see very little PP if any which is frustrating most Knights fans. There is all his offense on the bench and a plug stand in front of the net. I really like the way he plays. He has a edge to him that I like alot. Unfortunately his icetime time is limited but he's making the most out of it.

London's PP is now dead last in the OHL!!! Looks good on Dale!!!

Rivalry game tonight in Ktown.
League worst PP vs. bad PK.
Kitchnener welcoming a couple bodies back to the line up. NOt sure who the knights will dressas 5 and 6 on the back end, 2 of Moffat/Donnay/Donnay. Rooks to continue being rotated- Teirney and AA today? Phil Varone gets to play (amid speculation hes being moved)
http://www.lfpress.com/sports/knight.../15826496.html
Hopefully the KNights can come out with the same effort they had in London a couple Saturdays ago against the Rangers.
Will Randell try and seek retribution for the Terreri KO of Lowry, I only ask as it seemed those two were chirpng right before Lowry took offence to a Terreri elbow, challenged him and was quickly disposed of.
Love rivalry games!

I'm not sure which Kitchener team is going to show up - they've been a bit bi-polar these last couple of weeks.

Catenacci's return is huge, and I'm hoping Sol dresses as well. I'm looking forward to seeing a couple of London's new players (Namestikov in particular).

I would bet that Randell is being held on a short leash, at least early on. There's no sense giving London a PP for stupidity.

I love the rivalry these teams have - there's a buzz in the air anytime London is in town. It's not a happy, welcoming feeling, but there's definitely an energy.

Well said. And ditto when they travel west down the 401

Look for London to play the team D game first and capitilize on break out opportunities . London has to play withh speed thru the bluelines to be effective, which starts with that first good break out pass. Maybe Kit can help out by getting a D man or two caught up ice?
Having said that Murphy could just as easily drop a 4-5 pt game on us.

As an aside a KNights trade of a former Ranger

Good return and again shows the Knights will try and give a kid a place to play if he doesnt fit in their plans

Whew - I was afraid Varone was part of a deal for McKegg. Glad to see it's for picks (at least at the moment). The Mason deal just keeps giving and giving, huh?

It does... One player gave us two picks plus a point a game, one player gave up 2 a bit great years on D and the other gave us headaches!!!!

Great return for Phil!!!

Maybe it's my high expectations of these players but I didn't think Murphy had a good game at all and he got 2 points and first star.
Also I really really like Jared Knight but last night he seemed non-interested.

That question was posed in two other boards... My guess is over working on things the Bruins want him to work on / he's trying to pass more I've noticed and most players aren't expecting them when they get to the them... could be his health issue is bugging him... he has been average the last couple of games.

I asked for something simple like keep an eye on Murphy in both games play him a little closer then normal and what do I get 4 points 3 goals 1 assist... London doesn't put pressure on the opposing D when they're offensive minded...that has me confused.

I thought Murphy had a better defensive game last night than usual, so I'm inclined to give him a pass on the rest. London was blocking a LOT of shots, and the puck was bouncing around a lot.

I noticed the same thing about Knight, but wow Namestikov is impressive. His speed and his ability to get a shot off from out of nowhere is fun to watch.

I missed the last 35 minutes of the game due to broadcast issues. aaagggghhhh
1-1 against the Rangers now. PP still anemic.
What started the DeSousa/Landeskog scsrap after the game?

DeSousa shot the puck at Maxwell just as the game ended. Landeskog said something to him about it, and DeSousa jumped at him and suckerpunched him in the face (not a heavy punch or anything, but enough). The two then dropped the mitts and Landeskog wrestled him to the ice.

According to the paper, DeSousa was talking about how Landeskog got in a few shots while they were laying on the ice, and that he'll pay him back for that.

Overall, not a big deal unless DeSousa really gets stupid and tries to do something about paybacks.
