I have a bad shoulder so I quit playing organized ice hockey, full contact. I now play light contact roller hockey on probably the worst team in my league . But, hey, it's good exercise though.

I did up until January when my MRI came back not looking very good. 5+ concussions within 2 years will do that.

Been skating since age 5, played organized hockey through college.

Then stopped playing, and instead masqueraded as a grownup making my money for the better part of a couple of decades...And now have refound the sport (as an active participant) in mid-life. Play in two leagues, year-round, serving as the Chris Chelios, elder statemen, chippy blueliner for both teams.

Plan on playing the rest of my life. In fact, there's only one of three ways in which I plan to exit this world (in order of preference):

1) In my wife's arms.
2) As a 90 year old, in the arms of my 20 y/o nurse.
3) On a hockey rink.

:lol

i've played Soccer, Tennis, Basketball, Volleyball, and was selected to represent my country at the AAA level in Rugby....

... but i was never on a single ice hockey team. kind of ironic since it's the only sport i'm a fan of, yet one of the few i haven't played. once in a while i'll play ball hockey with some friends against the Kelowna Rockets or each other, but i've never held a hockey stick while wearing ice skates.

I've been skating since 4 (very early) . My parents kind of incouraged me to play , but I'm not thinking of going into the draft [/sarcasm] lol , but I'm pretty good , I like to experiment with the puck .

The usual tactic is to then discount everything that person says "since they never played the game".

A particularly vile form of argument.

HL hockey and roller hockey. Generally play defence though I'll play forward for either and goalie for roller hockey if needed.

interesting...

a bit off topic here but what level of rugby did you play this year? maybe i played against you(i played grade 10 rugby)

anyways i played midget B/AA this past year. Last cut from the AAA team, next year will be my final year and hopefully a year or two of junior, and hopefully on to college.

I can't imagine being this obsessed with NHL hockey and not actually playing the game myself, it seems impossible.

I've skated since I was 4...played hockey sice I was 6.

Last year I was invited to a couple rookie Jr.A and Jr.B camps. I played High School and I was also on another AA team in Kingston, but I got a concussion in early January which basically was the end of my season..

I play Midget B in Sask... its great hockey.. many people think its often more exciting the A or AA... although its not as skilled of a game... its much more physical

Three nights a week in full contact beer leagues for me. Will probably become the Bobby Orr of beer leagues (injury wise) -- Two ACL tears and a miniscus tear dont have me penciled in for Gee Wally's 40 years.

I have been playing hockey for 12 years skated at the age of 5 started hockey at the age of 7, been playing floor hockey since 5

recently i been playing men's league the season ended in march, we play though out the week, having 2-5 games a week, i can play the 3 forward poisitions (mainly a LWer) and some defense. I rely on my speed and quickness but my vision is so bad that my eye doctor is puzzled how i can play hockey let alone see the puck (in both my eyes i have 20/over 200), I had a bad last year, only scored 4 goals and had 12 pounts in 40 some games.
this summer i plan to workout a bit, get into better shape and hopefully get faster on the ice
