Cage Aux Sports in Centre Bell closed.(under renovation)

I work right by the Bell Centre, noticed today Cage is being boarded up. Too bad, fun atmosphere before games... Hopefully something else opens there.

I doubt whatever replaces it will be as bad as Cage or worse.

They'll probably open an overpriced restaurant with less-than-great food instead. Oh wait...

I am agree. It was very fun before games.
I can't believe this place doesn't make money

Doesn't help when you have another Cage like two minutes away on René-Levesque. That place is always full, even for away games, UFC's, boxing and what not.

Either they're renovating it or turning it into something similar. It makes too much money not to.

This. At least at a place like Station des Sports, you expect the ****** food and make up for it with the cheap beer.

It has to make them money, it's crazy busy there, but the rent in that building would be insane....

I have been there a few times, didn't think it was too bad, looks like I am in the minority?

If it's closing down, then I'm in shock.

Sure, it's a horrible place to eat/drink, but that place is *always* jam-packed.

Agreed it's gotta either be renovating or a fallout of some kind. They must have tried to raise the rent too high or something so the owner said **** it and closed his doors or something.

Maybe get your dad to open up something there

This is extremely true. It's so easy to get absolutely wasted in there that by the end you don't care if the food is mediocre or not, you're simply happy to eat something.

Yeah I guess we'll see what happens with it. I bet it'll be back.

And I'm impressed with your memory, we must've discussed that, what, 2 years ago?

Are you sure it's closing down for good, or for renovations?

Not a fan but the one at the bell was a billion times better than the one we have on the west island. Terrible restaurant surprised they're even still open.

50 nights a week they are packed.

I guess the rent must be really high...

Note to CEO of Cage, plastic food was so 2000.

God help me if Boston Pizza takes over.

Boston Pizza >>>>> Cage.

Some of the meals aren't frozen food presidents choice meals like Cage

Like they actually make pizza. Another reason I won't go to cage is Jack Astors does everything they do but better and for the same price.

Still, to attach the word Boston at the Bell ... I rather eat plastic burgers... err, make that, less plasticy burgers (pretty sure the burgers at Boston are pretty plastic).
