I'm curious how Weise feels about going from having a decent chance to having to have to claw past Todd White, Brian Boyle, Tim Kennedy, Prust, MZA, etc to make this team. I feel like the Rangers do this every time. At least we are getting the ilk of overage Brent Fedyks anymore.

You know what is funny? Mouth and Jimmy do more then NHL network or MSG as far as getting the fans involved, listening to them and getting current and former Rangers to answer questions and a feel for what they want. Just read the thread... I will watch now! I think The Mouth is full of wit and good, entertaining sports journalism. I think the passion that obviously goes into it would be as conveyable/captivating without that gimmick.

i think it takes guts to handle criticism like you just did. I'll definitely be listening to the next show. as will my brother. I told him you're dropping the voice, and now he wants to give your show another go around.

I don't think you should drop it completely. You could alienate fans who actually enjoy it. Just tone it down maybe. It kind of makes me think of a cartoon voice character rather than a quirky news journalist. I dunno if you were trying to do a satirized version of those old black and white news reel announcers?

I hated the voice at first but got used to, doesn't bother me either way now and i enjoy his work.

If i were delivering that pizza to you and you didnt like the way I was doing it I'm sure you'd express your disapproval or not order from me anymore. It's not like these people aren't giving him a listen, they're just stating what may keep them from listening again. There will always be a group of people who dislike it if he uses the voice, as well as a group who dislike it if he stops using it. Either way if he can't handle criticism he needs to find another gig.
