Not surprised considering the complete lack of playing time this season.

I thought the line of Bodie, Marchant, Chipchura showed some nice potential last year, but guess it wasn't given much chance to click this season.

Not a major loss if he's claimed, we have enough depth forwards now we need to start clearing some out and upgrading quality.

I think the fact that we are trying to use 3 scoring lines this year is what was the nail in the coffin. I know he hasn't been in many games this year. But he has to better than Voros, that guy is brutal.

Bodie is not likely to get claimed.
Might be good to have in Syracuse if Voros/Parros gets hurt.

In a parallel universe where AHL 3rd liners are hot commodity he would get claimed.

It seemed like Bodie lost his confidence or something but he wasn't skating hard and playing the body this season. Maybe some time in the AHL will wake him up.

The fact Bodie is on a two way contract is probably the reason that Voros is still here. I doubt he gets claimed. The bottom 6 could use his toughness and size but he didn't bring enough else to the table this year to secure a spot.

I honestly don't understand why we signed Green to a contract when Bodie brings just about the same (or more). Last year he was great but wasn't given much of a chance this season.

he was decent last year but this year in the games hes been in he has not been the same as last year.. most notably not being as physical as he should be.. imo green has definitely outplayed bodie this year.. some seasoning in the A should be good for bodie..

I feel Green has played well, especially over the win streak. Good forechecking from that 4th line which helps balance out the attack even if they don't put up points.

I had thought that if a player was on a 2-way deal, he could be placed in the minors without passing through waivers ?

If Bodie clears waivers and remains on the Ducks roster, does his salary still count towards the cap and the 50-contract limit ?

waivers deal with experience and age, not contracts
Bodie clearing will still count on the 50-contract, but will no longer count against the cap, although his previous time on the active roster will obviously count.

Didn't Dirk and Ericnut have some bet about not posting any more involving Bodie with one insisting he was 3rd line and one insisting 4th line?

I guess both lose if he's in the AHL?

I CLEARLY remember it stating it was for a ban...Who is it?

Bodie showed a lot of potential, I PERSONALLY thought he was going to be an above average 3rd liner with a decent offensive upside. I think a year in the A will solidify his role and help him develop into the player we need him to be.

Good luck Bodie to where ever you may end up I was a fan of you!

Actually, I think Dirk needs to delete his account.

Good to see Bodie claimed. He seems like a really nice guy, hopefully he gets some playing time in Carolina. Obviously this is good for the Ducks too.

I', like many others I'm sure, have been F5ing all morning waiting for him to post, and since he hasn't posted in over two weeks and we all need our Dirk fix, I'll just do my best impression of him. Feel free to join me .

murray once again proves he = mediocrity. giving up on bodie while keeping soft midgets like sexton just proves hes got no clue whats he doing.

It's just not the same, oh well . Come back soon Dirk, we miss you!

I didn't think there was any interest in Bodie but hopefully he finds a good spot in the Carolina system.
How about a write in vote for Bodie so he can be the "hometown" favorite in the All Star Game Ducks haven't lost much imo.

Best of luck Troy!
