Thanks!

Now to look and see if WB/Scranton will be carrying the game tonight.

I don't recall seeing anything mentioned and it's an AHL preseason game.

FYI - (you may already know the Hershey ones or all of these)

So did you watch?

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton 4, Bears 3, SO

Here are updates from Leone:
link to article

"Offense from Greentree and Willsie is no surprise. Rookie Dmitry Kugryshev, who played right wing on their line, also had an impact outing."

"Kugryshev was strong on his skates and showed a willingness to battle in high-traffic areas."

and more about Kugryshev in the article

Per leone's update, Kugryshev is having a good preseason game showing so far in the 2 games. Hershey vs WBS 2 days in a row in preseason, no surprise to read about fights. Stevenson perhaps putting King's
tutorial to use.

Great to hear how well Miskovic is doing in his return from the knee injury given the depth on D right now.

"The BEARS have reassigned goaltender Jared DeMichiel, right wing David de Kastrozza, center Jake Hauswirth, defenseman Dustin Stevenson and forward Anton Gustafsson to South Carolina (ECHL). Additionally, HERSHEY assigned left wing Kaleigh Schrock to Fort Wayne (IHL) and released defenseman Wes O'Neill from his player tryout contract." link

Hershey roster at the moment:

G (2): Ford, Holtby

D (10): Collins, Cullity, Finley, Godfrey, Kroll, P. McNeill, Miskovic, Nycholat, Wellar, Yeo

F (13): Aucoin, Bouchard, Bruess, Greentree, Joudrey, Kane, Kashirsky, Kugryshev, G. McNeill, Pinizzotto, Rechlicz, Rome, Willsie

Still up with the Capitals: Sabourin, Fahey, plus the forwards who lose out on the last roster spots.

Only one who reported Collins clearing waivers was Leone (not clear to me he's actually been put on waivers yet, if he was he cleared); based on reports, doesn't look like Pinizzotto has been placed on/cleared waivers yet.

Cullity was in Caps camp as a free agent; not clear if he has been signed by Hershey or SC, but I'm thinking it's looking likely he already has one or that they are talking given he's still in camp with Hershey.

Capitals/Bears contract players assigned to South Carolina:

Gustafsson, Hauswirth, Stevenson

Also, Hershey contract player in SC: Jared DeMichiel

Interesting. Were these reassignments just done? I ask because I just watched Anton and Schrock play and not sure on how those transactions are handled.

Godfrey making the Bears as of now? He did play well overall, but there were some serious defensive positioning issues. I think there maybe some thought towards the PP. His shot from the point is still ****ing amazing!

Stevenson absolutely rag doll'ed who ever he fought. I was not aware of his size either. Great offensive awareness, but not so sure of how solid his defense is.

Yes, they were just made; it was reported earlier that the first cuts would be made tonight after the game, the last preseason game for Hershey. SC's training camp starts Wednesday, October 6 at 10am.

This isn't a final cut though the timing of more is based on a lot of unknowns given some dmen battling injuries in Hershey and an extra dman still in Washington, plus additional forwards eventually being sent down from Washington.

The list of 10 dmen above includes Patrick McNeill, who isn't medically cleared and last update I saw Kroll was still sitting out due to injury, plus still unsure as to Cullity's contract status.

timleone: Gus not a surprise. No urgency shown in 3 games. I've been among those urging patience, but it's starting to look like Ryan Sittler redux.

Confidence seems like a real issue. In hindsight maybe staying in Sweden would have been better. We'll see.

I think a tandem of Holtby and Sabourin would be very solid.

BTW, I saw that the Rampage released Kip Brennan. Any chance the Bears pick him up?

I don't think many are worried about the goaltending other than concerns about staying healthy among the young guys.

Bears have wingers Rechlicz and Grant McNeill, plus Wellar and Finley as dmen willing to fight, and the Bears at the moment are using all the vet slots with guys expected to dress as regulars.

While there's not much of a need to worry, assuming Holtby plays well, I think that Sabourin is an upgrade over Ford as his backup.

As for Brennan, he only dresses a handful of games and being a fan favorite in Chocolatetown, I thought maybe the Bears would give him an AHL deal.

Anything's possible, but I don't see Yingst bringing Brennan in to this team.

Obviously Sabourin is an upgrade over Ford, but given the situation it's nice to have Ford under contract as a 3rd goalie for Hershey.

There is no need for Brennan at this point. I think GMac will be sitting out a bunch of games this year.

OT, but the Oilers waived Giroux and he's headed to Oklahoma City.

Pietrus is under contract with Hershey, right?

Very happy to have Yeo and Kashirsky back, for however long they are down here.

That blue line isn't looking so suspect at this point. Take off Cullity and Kroll just because they are unknow entities to me at this point. That leave you with: (These were just throw together so probably multiple errors on everything)

Souray - Nycholat
Wellar - Miskovic
Collins - Finley
Fahey
P. McNeill (injured)

That's not bad looking at all.
