2011 Minnesota Team

Anybody want to take a crack at compiling an all-Minnesota team? Players listed below are taken directly from nhl.com, sorted by birthplace. Ideally, this list would include players who learned and developed their game primarily in Minnesota. I'm thinking that should include T.J. Oshie (WA) and possibly Drew Stafford (WI). Are there any other names that are missing? Anybody that should be taken off this list?

Zach Parise
Jason Blake
Colin Stuart

Center

Derek Stepan
Matt Cullen
Matt Hendricks
Ryan Carter
Toby Petersen

Jim O'Brien
Trevor Frischmon

Blake Wheeler

It's tricky beeswax once you open it up to those developed in Minnesota, becuase of Shattucks, the Gophers, St. Cloud, Duluth and Co. Even a guy like Oshie, who wasn't born and raised here until high school, is problematic. I'd confine it to born and raised here, so yes to Erik Johnson, Zach Parise, Blake Wheeler, Kyle Okposo, etc., but no to Oshie, Kessel, Crosby, etc.

Great team without a goalie. So many good d-men.

22 dmen on the list and the 12th overall pick of 2004 is nowhere to be found

Good call on Oshie, I didn't realize he didn't move to Warroad until grade 9. Grew up in Seattle Juniors and competed against Vancouver teams. I agree those that learned the game out of state and come in for MSHSL/Shattuck probably shouldn't count. Just call me Doug Woog
