New Canadiens ''look''

http://canadiens.nhl.com/

I think we have a first impression of what will be the new look for the 2010-11 season.

I like this kind of design !

I think it looks pretty cool, a nice change from the typical players logos.

Type and image don't work together IMO.

Image seems well rendered, but as previously mentionned, doesn't really convey the typical "strong/proud" message. Is that a good or a bad thing? I guess it can be good when carefully blended in a well thought out branding campaign, but so far, with just that type/image combination, I'd say its not looking very promissing for future applications.

Don't give me an "artsy" image with modern/futiristic type. They just don't mix.

I prefer the old one, all they did was use splatter brush with some clipping mask and a font
that doesn't really match well =/

It looks like a tarnished, bruised flag.

That's sort of accurate.

Not a big fan but they could have made it better by actually having the pattern of the splash represent something. The island of Montreal maybe?

OK, the way I see all this is... Health is always a BIG issue with any NHL club and that sure won't change. Now we start, If the Habs stay healthy ( at least a lot more then last year) the Habs do have the talent to do some damage. Now add in Subban for the whole year and a good view of the rest of the prospects things are looking up for the near future. Near future? well what I see is not this year but the 2011-12 year. Look at all the contracts and it's clear the Habs can make even better moves after they recoup Gill and Hamrlik contracts. Finish up the retooling started last year ( 11 gone) and then we will see the true Habs for the next 4-5 years.
I do believe Subban will change the back end and Weber will make his dent also. Eller will show us that he was worth the Halak trade. It's still too early for Kristo and Leblanc and others but this time NEXT year we will be able to assess those guys a LOT better and start to smile for those guys.

It looks like somebody sneezed on a freshly painted Habs logo

To have a "strong/proud" message, we should change ''Fix you'' during the player entrance... It would be a nice beginning

The new colors are cool IMO

It almost looks like France, actually.

I don't mind it, but what your saying makes sense. That would make it better.

I like it. I still find it bold and strong. The color is vibrant and the style is new. I have no complaints.
