HFboards, where Peter Regin is worth more than Travis Zajac.

I'd suggest you take a look at my edited post because I clicked the space bar and it cut me off...

There's nothing funny about this scenario.

LOL.

Senators fans. Don't you realize it was Eklund that has said Zajac is available? People just NEVER learn.

Zajac+Rolston+Tedenby
for

Spezza+Karlson

Zajac is not getting moved unless there's more value coming in return. Zajac would literally be one of the last guys on the roster the Devs would ever trade for cap space, thus you're going to have to overpay for him.

The trade isn't designed to be fair. That's how much Zajac means to this team.
Spezza has a GOD AWFUL contract. We want to shed salary, not make more. Don't make me slap you.

Ottawa can keep their overpaid pizza.

I'm aware of this....

They'd have to take Rolston and they'd probably have to take Salvador as well.

The gist of it is that Zajac is not being moved.

Yet you come in here and think you're going to land our first line center for an unproven prospect and Kelly.

Whatever you're smoking, I'd quit...

1. finds trades for salvador and zubrus
or
2. waives salvador and zubrus

= zajac still on the team and cap compliant.

Look at your comment, now back to mine. Now back at your comment now back to mine. Sadly it isn't mine, but if you stopped trolling and started posting legitimate comments it could look like mine. Look down, back up, where are you? You're scrolling through comments, writing the comment your comment could look like. What did you post? Back at mine, its a reply saying something you want to hear. Look again the reply is now DIAMONDS. Anything is possible when your not trolling.

Frickin right it burns Havlat looked good on that Rush. If only Havlat would have backhanded it out front... In this NHL Friesen would have clearly been called for holding or interference on Rachunek. Then Lalime got caught cheating to the left...

After that goal there was one thing that happend that solidified the win... All your players went absolutely APEPOOP and Burnsy settled everyone down IMMEDIATELY. I still remeber reading his lips

"CALM DOWN, Relax,,, THERE IS A LOT OF HOCKEY LEFT!"

We got beat by the cup champs, a little easier to take. We too would have owned the Ducks....... that year.

MasterGrond: Long layoff,, and a 0-0 goal by Pahlsson with 5 to go in game 2.. What can you do? they were tougher and stronger. Took but 5 games to eliminte Pens, Devils, and Sabres though. Maybe we should have let you win a another game or 2, layoff wouldn't have been as long.

As for the whiners here,, I didn't realize Zajac was your only legit #1 center. So obviously Lou wouldn't move him.

Don't forget though off season isn't over and Lou is prone to anything. If he found a suitor for Elias he could acquire another center while keeping Zajac, or deem Zajac expendable after, and deal for some future prospects. Zajac isn't untouchable and certainly not worth what you guys think. I wouldn't swap the 2nd rounder for a First thats for sure.

I'm new but am well informed and know what I'm talking about... I however am not perfect and make the occasional mistake, that said I can admit when wrong.

Not when it comes to the Devils.

You didn't know that Zajac was our only #1 center.
You think that Lou has to trade someone to get under the cap.
You think that Lou is prone to do anything at any moment. Not really, he is very stable.

Sorry but if you start with Spezza not your **** or you unproven prospects or Regin.

Elias has a NO MOVEMENT CLAUSE! I can't count how many times people have been told that around here but people keep adding him to trade proposals.

As I said I personally wouldn't inquire about Zajac if I'm BM, there's better out there. And teams that will bend more in need of some defensive prospects.

I'm sure Claude Julien and Scott Neidermayer would think differently

What do you mean "there's better out there"? Sure there are better centers in the league. Crosby, Malkin, and Datsyuk come to mind. You should look into them. I hope you didn't mean that there are better players out there BEING SHOPPED because, Zajac isn't.

Stop reading Garrioch. This is the same idiot who thought Malkin getting traded to the Kings was a possibility.

No you aren't and no you don't. At least not when it comes to the Devils. A few points for you to consider:

-Zajac will not be moved. He is the only #1 centre currently on our roster. If he is moved, Lou might as well announce in the same breath that we don't intend to make the playoffs this season.

-Parise will not be moved. We have the cap space to re-sign him next season (because Arnott and Langenbrunner come off the cap), unless his cap hit goes over $7.5 M, which it won't.

-Elias will not be moved. He is the longest tenured Devils forward, has worn a letter for years, is still very productive, is still clutch, is the franchise scoring leader, and has a full NMC which he has been quoted as saying he has no intention of waiving.

I should have thought these were obvious truths, but I guess not.
