They lost Danny Syvret, he went to Anaheim's organization as a UFA. I'm guessing they are gaining Luke Pither, Zac Rinaldo, Sergei Bobrovsky, Mike Testwuide (he could go to the ECHL?), and I don't remember who else.

I haven't watched many Phantoms games in a long time. Will they go Backlund and Bobo as a 1A-1B type goalie situation?

Probably. I can't imagine any other situation.

Well I hope we find a way to replace Matsumoto and Ross. I thought we should have given Matsumoto a shot. He has great speed but oh well. I think we need a new coach in Adirondack. Gilbert doesnt let guys like Clackson or Klotz or even Ross last year play the way they want. I hope it doesnt affect any of the young guys' development.

Labrecque doesn't have a contract yet and they don't have to sign him, I think he will stay in the Q for another year. Bartulis won't be in Glens Falls either, if they try to send him down he'll be claimed off waivers. Additional to the players named, Greg Moore, Andrew Rowe and Matt Clackson will be there.

Think he can only be claimed on the call-up, not on the demotion.

He can be claimed on the call-up too, but that implies that he can be claimed on the way down. One of the conditions for re-entry waivers is that the player doesn't has to be exempt from waivers. On reverse, if he is eligible for re-entry waivers he's also eligible for waivers.

If Bartulis is eligible to be claimed on waivers he will be traded for a pick. Even Shooter wont lose him for nothing imo. Then again who knows with him. I wouldnt be shocked if they kept him as an extra forward as well since he played that previously. They will screw his development up no doubt.

I know, and it is possible he stays in the Q. We still hold onto his rights.

I didn't say that this is what the lines WOULD be. I said this is something around what they COULD be.

Doubt he gets claimed, and I doubt we carry 8 defensemen. I also doubt we trade one.

why dont you think he would be claimed? makes 600k, has shown he can play on the bottom pairing and is till very young. he would no doubt get claimed imo. As i said he could be a swing guy that plays up and back so it wont be that surprising if they keep him up. i wouldnt as he needs to play.

A game in Glens Falls is a good time, a game in Albany's Times Union Center is a snooze fest....

Yeah it's pretty sad at the tuc, can still have a good time though. I'm just excited i'll be in town this year so I can see the prospects in action

last time I was at the glens falls civic center it was for my high school's playoff basketball game. I was front row on the baseline with my chest painted, totally f'd up and goin crazy. Jimmer Fredette, now a huge star at BYU, had a sick game and dunked basically right in my face.

Can't say that I like the Phantoms depth down the middle.

If Backlund is hurt still, he may never get the starting role if Bobrovsky stands on his head.

I think Bartulis still has a chance to start the season for Philly next year. All he has to do is outplay a 40 year old vet, and Walker

I didn't think that waivers came into effect untill october? why are people saying that bartulis will be claimed? We can move him down without anyone touching him right?

Players cannot be assigned/loaned to other leagues outside of the regular season waiver period (twelve days prior to the start of regular season until one day after a club finishes its season).

Rinaldo will clean up

Zac Rinaldo will be the toughest player in the AHL in the 2010-2011 season, no questions asked! Dude's a psycho!
