Just let out some frustration, i missed the rookie game last night so came to see some highlights. Obviously they show both leaf goals and then have 2 seconds of the sens goal. Horrible highlights/coverage

It was a rookie game. Its not like there would have been a lot of coverage regardless of what they showed.

If it was a regular season, or playoff game I would be a little more upset.

I think the reason for this though is because the majority of people, in terms of hockey fans, that tune into TSN are Leafs fans.

I just dont get why the extra 10 seconds to show all the goals is skipped sometimes, even during the regular season.

I noticed that too. You'd have to notice the scoreboard to see the Sens magically accumulate goals while they showed the Leafs put the puck in the net. It was amusing and face-palming at the same time.

I was upset too. They technically only showed leafs goals. The one Sens goal was tipped in by a leaf lol.

Well they can only cram in so much news and coverage in an hour and have to think what is most important right now?

I'd say right now its the race for playoffs in the MLB and the start of the NFL season. The NHL is competing with ... rookie games.

Even in the regular season once again, a limited time, but they do cover a lot more in the regular season. They can't cover every goal. Some are not even worth to put and that saves them time for something else in sports.

Well, yeah. I remember when Alfie had his 7 point game a few years ago and the Sens got about 30 seconds while the Leafs played some meaningless game and got about 5 minutes.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2kCGBcRfg7M - A nice 6 minute recap courtesy of a Leafs fan.

TSN hasn't fired Pierre McGuire yet. 'Nuff said.

I was also annoyed by that. They can't use the feed as an excuse, Sportsnet had all the goals. Bush league.

the sens could be playing in the finals and TSN would be having a feature on the best place to park at the ACC or possibly favorite fart jokes from leaf players.

Fortunately I think the network is living on borrowed time, streaming TV will eventually force them back from pretending to be a "national" sports network. Can't be soon enough for me.

While i agree streaming is the future of tv.However more then likely your going to see the likes of tsn etc soon switch more to online so one way or another online or standard tsn will be around for a long time.

Common, showing Leaf playoff goals? Like that will ever happen.

Yeah, I noticed the same thing. I wasn't even upset, but just had a moment of "oh yeah, this is how it works."

I didn't say they would disappear, just that they will be filling a niche. At some point the teams/NHL will drop the middleman and reach out to viewers directly or in partnership with networks.

kids, seriously, who cares. This is a problem.

Just watch Frasier on Peachtree or something if you don't like tsn.

On the plus side, TSN's reverse standings has us in the playoffs (we haven't been written in yet).
