Possibly only DiDomenico. Paradis' season has started by then so he may not be available.

Blackhawks to participate in Toronto Rookie Tournament
Monday, 07.26.2010 / 4:11 PM / News
By Chicago Blackhawks
The Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks will send a team to compete in the 2010 Toronto Maple Leafs Rookie Tournament, beginning on Saturday, Sept. 11 at John Labatt Centre in London, Ontario. Blackhawks prospects will compete in three games against rookie teams from the Maple Leafs, Ottawa Senators and Pittsburgh Penguins.

The Blackhawks roster will be highlighted by 2008 first-round selection Kyle Beach, who led the Western Hockey League with 52 goals last season, and defenseman Shawn Lalonde, who paced the Ontario Hockey League’s Belleville Bulls with a career-high 56 points in 2009-10. They will be joined by Jeremy Morin, who potted 47 goals for the OHL’s Kitchener Rangers and won a Gold Medal with Team USA at the World Junior Championships during the 2009-10 campaign, as well Chris DiDomenico and Phillipe Paradis, who were acquired from Toronto this summer by Chicago. A complete roster will be released at a later date.

I've got Shaw cable, and most sports packages. I don't think I have a 'Rogerstv' channel. Not sure what to look for.

Every year there is another reason to add another packeage, either in the summer for TMN or in the fall for sports! Getting expensive.

Rogers TV is the Rogers community channel. It's only available on Rogers cable.

Yeah, I was looking through the pull down on that link provided, and Hamilton isn't even on their list.

From looking at the schedule, it looks like it's on their HD channel too, which is nice. I'll be going to the game on Saturday, looking forward to checking out our future players. I haven't gotten a chance to see most of them (except for Kadri, Irwin, and a bit of Mueller at the olympics).

Leafs rookie tournament

Does anyone know if theres coverage anywhere? tv or audio? It wasnt available last year online anywhere.

I think the team looks pretty solid, interested to see how Mueller and Aulie play.

The Marlies should be great this year !

when does it start? I know LeafsTV carries it, and I think CBC or CTV or someome carries a couple games as well

but ya, the Marlies will probably struggle this year. it's mostly kids in a league where veterans usually lead the way. they should be fun to watch though

First leafs game is 7pm on saturday, we play sunday 7pm then Tuesday 7pm too.

I think the Marlies will be pretty good, Id much rather see a young team that will eventually feed the leafs rather than a team of old guys playing out their careers

Just found out its on Rogers:

Yeah, they'll definitely be fun to watch, but when it comes to wins and losses, they'll struggle to be middle of the pack, because development is the primary goal for the Marlies now, as opposed to before when priority #1 was wins, and prospects sometimes suffered because of it.

Yeah I like that we're using the Marlies for development now, thats one advantage of having deep pockets.. they dont have to win at all costs like some other AHL teams probably have to.

I just wish Vancouver were playing so someone could flatten Sweatt !

Here's the official lineup for the rookie tourny : http://mapleleafs.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=536934

The expected cast of characters is present. Nice to see Olden on there all the way from Sweden. Mike Liambas' name stands out. Kids better keep their heads up.

I notice there is no Tyler Ruegsegger on the list which then likely confirms that he will be attending Phoenix Rookie camp instead.

Happens every year.

On another subject Leafs TV is not showing that they will be broadcasting replays but hopefully that changes.

It's a rookie tournament and the least important hockey to be played for the next 9 months. Did you think that there was any chance the games would be broadcast in Calgary of all places?

Wish there were less of these invites I've never heard of, but should still be entertaining.

I guess on a positive note they are mostly in the 6'4" 200+lb range
so should see some truculence maybe.

The name sounded familiar. After a quick google search, I know why:

http://news.therecord.com/article/625221

Quote:
The Woodbridge-born Liambas unwittingly became Canada’s latest poster boy for violence in hockey after a shocking incident last Friday during an Ontario Hockey League game between the Erie Otters and the Kitchener Rangers.

The 20-year-old Liambas, playing for the Otters, crushed Kitchener blueliner Ben Fanelli with a seemingly legal but fearsome bodycheck into the end glass, sending Fanelli to hospital in critical condition with facial and skull fractures.

It's like this every year. You usually don't have a full roster of your own guys.

Missing:
Caputi
Frattin
Brodin
Granberg
Winnett
Flaake
Reimer
Mikus
Knodel
MacWilliam

For various reasons... being older and having participated in rookie tourneys before (Caputi, Reimer), NCAA and European seasons underway, etc.

Looking forward to see Stephanovich. Really interesting what kind of ceiling he has and if he will ever reach it.
