how many god damn centers does this team need!?

didn't Pyatt get a one way contract?

pouls-gomez-gionta
akost-plex-cammy
boyd-eller-lapierre
moen-halpern-pyatt
darche

so much for giving young guns (white, maxpac) a chance?

unless a trade of some of our bottom 6 is coming

cue the panic. habs aren't allowed signing a player that doesn't get 50 pts a season.

out of nowhere lol, he will help the PK and bring a gritty veteran to the team, he is above average as a 4th line center.

Replacement for Darche or Glumac in the AHL no biggie.

That's a good signing for Montreal. Can fill similar role to Dominic Moore. Edgy depth guy. Just in time for Rosh Hashanah, too.

This year's veteran bottom six forward. I'm okay with it, probably pretty cheap.

faceoff ace. Like the signing just because of that.

Younger, faster (lol) and more responsible defensively than Metro.

i.e. Boyd replaced Moore
Halpy replaces Metro

something like that. ?

RH to top it off.
Seriously very important in our zone. he can then go to the bench

Size and experience with a right handed shot down the middle.

I can live with that. Never hurts to add depth at center.

Halpern has been at 52% or more on FO for the last 4-5 years and is reliable on the PK.

For the 4th line, I really like that.

Very nice move...won't draw many headlines or many page threads (or will it?lol) but very good depth signing.

Habs had a need for a veteran center on the 4th line, preferrably one who could win faceoffs.

Jeff Halpern gives an honest shift every time out, kills penalties and can chip in with the offense once in awhile.

+ he instantly becomes our best faceoff man

Good move...i was hoping for him or Ryan Johnson.

Trying to find stats for years before but he was 52% last year, which is pretty good.
