My personal opinion is that because Torts knows him, he is offering him a camp invite as a personal favor. Fedotenko can show the Rangers (and other teams) he still has what it takes to contribute. From it I expect 3 scenarios:
A) He plays well, supplants Boyle or White or whoever on the Rangers roster
B) He plays okay, motivates some of the kids, and signs with a different club
C) He plays okay, doesn't get another offer, and signs a 1 way deal with the Rangers to mentor the youth in Hartford and get more money then other teams would be willing to give to an AHL player

I am fine with any of the above.
This brings up a point that the owners want to emphasize when they negotiate the new CBA: Have the ability to utilize 2 way contracts more effectively with veteran players.
He's a completely different player. Fedotenko gets 30-40 points every year and is 31 years old. There's no reason NOT to look at him. My point was that even Malkin was a -6 (since that's what you had hilighted in red) on that team. +/- is the worst stat in hockey.
No way plus/minus is the wost stat in hockey, in my mind it is a huge stat but in the long term not game or games but season or seasons.
