its interesting how the standings keep working out. One week were worried about the 8th spot and the next week were worrying about the division. With winnipeg losing tonight and leafs winning, we once again reshift our focus back to the division.

Watching the Devils game right now, they are already up 5 - zip on the Flyers

BTW, great setup on the fifth goal by Steve Bernier, he is a beast today. Where the hell was that last year?!?!?!

I thought Steve Bernier was not in the NHL anymore.

We're not getting much help today. Caps up 1-0 on Montreal. Montreal is useless.

They got Quincey and then flipped him to Detroit for a 1st. Craziness ensuing.

Yeah, that's pretty wild. When is the lat time a 3 way happened?

Tampa is getting loaded with picks, which obviously sucks for us, but I'm gonna guess that they're going to look to flip em for goalie. Still, Quincey is a good defenseman, they need defense!

Yeah really. Thought they were finally unloading strength for weakness but they never attend to that D.

Nope, no matter who the GM is. Some crazy aversion.

I think this awe of Yzerman can finally be put to rest. People thought he was such an outstanding GM last season, but in reality, he is nothing more than average. TB has needed goaltending and defense for how long now, and he has done nothing to change that. He can stockpile all the picks he wants, but we have first hand that if you dont have the right person making those picks, it doesnt matter how many you have available.

Tampa needs defense and goaltending. Acquires neither and loses offense/pestiness.

I agree with that. They actually picked up a 24 year old defenseman who has yet to crack the NHL, what good is that?? I mean, he put up some great points in the Q, but that's the Q. He's clearly struggling somewhere.

It really isnt that funny. Quincey was a Red Wing a few seasons ago, was placed on waivers, then claimed by the Kings, so they actually gave up a first pick for someone who was already theirs two seasons ago.

I just read on LitterBoxCats's Twitter that Craig Anderson is out indefinitely with a hand injury. I wonder how that affects the Sens down the stretch with trying to get a playoff spot. I can't imagine Auld leading them to many wins.

Heard on the Power Play that he cut it severely at home. Stitches for sure, but no word on possible tendon damage. Sucks for Andy. I can see Ottawa making a goalie deal similar to what we did when Trevor Kidd went down (wow that was 13 years ago?!?!)

Ron Wilson fired from Toronto. Prepare for HF meltdown.

I don't think it's really even his fault. Goaltending has been awful and Burke just hasn't put together that good a team. But, you can't go 1-11 and not expect that.

Randy Carlyle will be announced tomorrow officially as the Leafs new head coach. I think it's a great choice. Even though they're done for the season barring a miracle the rest of the way, I think with the right coaching, their upcoming team could be pretty good next season.

Leafs re-sign Grabovski, 5 years at 5.5 per. Seems a bit pricey.

Who said that?
I just read an article with quotes saying that he'll probably be back no sooner than Sunday.

thats good i think i read it on hockeybuzz this morning. I just find it hilarious that the guy has been injured for 99% of the season but somehow makes the trip and skates the first time around at the bank atlantic center and then now is cleared for contact and is ready to play soon.

Panthers have bad timing imo.

Yeah, I read Sunday at earliest as well. I'd say we have great timing.
