He suffered the concussion from hitting his head on the ice. They are still trying to figure out why he collapsed in the first place.

according to mackenzie, they're still not sure. his first post implied that the concussion was the cause for his collapse.

little bit of chatter in the main forum about that. apparently, tickets were very expensive. combine that with an unappealing matchup and competition in the form of several SEL games and i guess this is what you get. pretty embarrassing, though; send two of your teams to the other side of the globe to play a game in front of an AHL-sized crowd?

On top of that, the arena in Sweden only hold 14,000+. I remember when the Cats were in Helsinki last year, I was thinking about going, until I noticed how ridiculous the ticket prices were. It would have cost me about 1000 euros for a ticket to the game, round trip airfare, and a hotel. I would have loved to see the Cats here in Europe, but not for that price.

I think the whole thing about going overseas is ridiculous, though, I do like some of the HFers got to see them play last season.

Been meaning to share this, but does anyone else think Philly's new jerseys are just butt ugly? It's like they're going out to do road work after the game!

Yes they are. Regarding jerseys, did you see the new Canucks one? I like it!

Im surprised Yormark didnt think of this yet. Check out the advertisement behind the Caps net. They have a floating advertisement digitalized behind both goal nets. Really crappy if you ask me.

Anyone see that Tavares is now out with a concussion after a hit yesterday? Welcome to the Island, Mr. Larsson.

Yup I saw that and I had the same first thought. Then my 2nd thought was that Grabner will now be in the lineup for the Isles and we'll see how he really does.

Also didnt see anyone mention it but Boston also re-signed Chara so he's off the market for next summer. Sounds like next summer is going to be even thinner than this past yr.

Yeah I feel bad for the kid and wow, are the isles getting killed with injuries or what. So is this when grabner steps up and starts scoring his 30+?

Rangers have been doing that for awhile now. I think the Blackhawks do it too.

Obviously I wish he wasn't hurt, but if they get the 1st pick, that's good for us as it will drop Couturier and RNH one more spot.

He started off strong two seasons in a row here, then faded away.

true, but it'd be typical wouldn't it? Haha, oh well, he didn't want to play here. He's gone, and it's over. Shouldn't matter now.

Bjugstad will make us forget about Horton... We also ended up w Basaraba and Donskoi for moving down 4 spots.
