For those of you who aren't listening JD was on between the first and second periods. Just going to throw out some random tidbits he said.

About Nikitin- Impressed with him, head on a swivel, good enough skater, excellent passer. A driver the Blues use is from Russia and serving as Nikitin's translator. Nikitin did spend a month in Ontario before coming to camp. Conditioning needs work. Strachan has taken Nikitin under his wing and has been helping with him.

He talked a bit about Halak but my phone rang so I missed the majority of it. The impression I got was impressed with his calmness and poise

Perron did promise Coach Payne a goal in tonight's game as a birthday present.

By the way, it looks like a rather gritty game. Three fights in the second period, wonder what that was about?

Blues v Minny Late viewing edition!

I decided to start a new thread for those of us watching the game that don't want to know the score. Mods can merge this after its over.

1st period Sonne and Perry look good. As does Cole.

Despite being a bit sloppy (to be expected) we have really good puck support thus far.

Just a couple thoughts while watching the game:

- Drazahoweveryouspell it looks friggin' awesome. Speedy, smart, great hand-eye coordination. Looks very Perronish.

- Speaking of Perron, man, he's somehow improved his skating even more. Incredible weaving through players. Very smart.

- Brewer still sucks.

- Hensick seems like a smart player.

- Conklin's on fire.

- Strachan, while seemingly a bit slow, had some great footwork. Impressive.

Oh, and add Boyes to the line about Brewer still sucking. I don't know what's wrong with those two.

How do you pronounce Drazenovic? My guess has always been "Druh-ZEN-uh-vich" Close?

Also, didn't realize Sonne was this entertaining. I want him on the team sooner rather than later.
