They have at least 20 of them on there. The best are the Final Sacrifice and Mitchell.

I hate when I'm at work and my parents text me saying "call me as soon as you can" when it's a stupid question that can wait. Makes me think somebody is in the hospital and it turns out to be a question about flyers pre season tickets.

That's just a payback from when you were 13 and phoned your parents at work to rat out your brother/sister.

(Okay, that was just a guess....)

Yeah, that's not going to happen anytime soon. Keep dreaming though. Apple is incredibly good at hyping things up and marketing products. In fact, Apple's value just surpassed Microsoft's a few weeks back.

Of course Jobs would be no where without Wozniak. That's the nature of business. People exploit others for profit. You know who else was really good at that? Bill Gates.

Wozniak still gets a weekly paycheck from Apple. Jobs has Wozniak set financially for life.

I don't mind Apple, it's more the Apple fanboys who insist Mac is some kind of movement instead of a company devoted to making money (not that there's anything wrong with that).
Every company that succeeds is a company devoted to making money, especially Microsoft and Apple.

I agree though, this "movement" BS is lame. It needs to go.

Where? Lenovo? Possibly.

Sony? Nah, just as overpriced. (Sony laptops are a joke anymore, they try to be the Apple of PC's and fail)
HP, Dell? ****piles.
Acer? ****
Toshiba? decent computers, mostly

Lol, this is so true.

Look, I hate the blind Apple fanboy who praises everything, but the PC fanboy who hates everything Apple is just as annoying.

You can get products that do just as well, if not better. Better quality music players elsewhere. Better video players elsewhere. Even though better tablets are coming out, Apple isn't the first one to make a tablet. I've even met some people that thought that Apple created the first MP3 player, which is utterly wrong. In the past 5 years of electronic devices/peripherals, I don't think I've seen a money ***** bigger than Apple.

So, in the past 5 years, you haven't seen a company more successful then Apple? Cuz they know how to make money, and that's the point.

Every smart company uses the "broken" patent system in this country. Patents are company assets. A company would be foolish not to acquire every patent they could, especially when it comes to the highly competitive electronics market.

I do like the XBOX 360 though, and I have Windows 7 on my MacBook Pro. I don't hate Microsoft, I just only use products I want to use.

The key thing to remember though is that Apple wouldn't charge those prices if people didn't pay them, I don't blame them for making all the money they can.
I realize they sell hardware, but Apple claims to be a software company first, so the "Apple Tax" gets you the bonus of a stable operating system that is not Windows or Linux.

However, where other companies skimp on materials and quality to cut costs, Apple just maintains the same price and keeps the same profit margins, refreshing every few months as costs fall and adding in new features to keep production cost roughly the same.

I have seen teardowns of 13-inch laptops that are of equal quality and parts of a 13-inch metal MacBook and the price is almost the same. A lot of the standard features on a MacBook are options on other computers anyway.

You think the Nano is stupid? Why are people buying iPads, regular flip cell phones, mp3 players, desktop PC's or CD's???

iPad - fullsize iPod Touch
Flip cell phone - replaced by smart phones with mobile internet and MP3 capabilities
mp3 player/Nano - buy a cell phone instead, please
Desktop PC - outside of hardcore gamers and graphics artists, there is no GOOD reason to buy a desktop of ANY brand. Laptops are more powerful now then ever (some say more powerful then the average user will EVER use) and capable of playing games with good graphics. Who wants to sit down in a specific room to use their computer anymore?
CD's - they still sell these? Pathetic. New laptops are starting to go blu-ray or drop the CD slot all together.

The thing with people that cracks me up is when a brand new product comes out and people rush to get it. Then come to find out 2 months later the product has crashed or some other flaws. Its always the first however many to get such ****ed up products.
I have a MacBook Pro and an iPhone 4. Very satisfied with my 2 major devices. I also have a Dell Mini 9 that I hacked OS X onto. It's ok for traveling and in class, but I would never try to do anything serious on it.

I also got the free iTouch, but I sold it to a friend $150 for beer money.

If I like something alright i'm not going to act as if you have to like it too. People are entitled to their opinions but just don't force it on other people. That's why even though I love my Apple products I hate the company fan boys. If that makes any sense at all what i'm saying haha.
It makes sense. I like your post.

Look, I love my MacBook Pro and my iPhone 4, but I 'm not trying to get people to convert. I dont care what brand people use to be honest, I just hate when someone tells me Macs suck when they use some crap Dell. They only look like idiots. Lenovo is the only other brand of Laptop I would consider. The rest just fall short FOR ME. This is all about my personal preference anyway, I PAID for it. Not you.

This is exactly how I feel. I feel it was well worth the purchase price.

Look, a Ford Mustang and a Infiniti G37 both get you to your destination. One costs a lot more and has a few more standard features. The other is just as powerful and much cheaper. Just because someone drives an Inifiniti doesnt mean he wasted his money. It just means he wanted a ****ing Infiniti, so step off.

It's your money, spend it as you wish. If you want to save a few hundred bucks on a Desktop PC, be my guess. If you want to replace the graphics card 3 times, be my guest. I really don't care if your desktop can outperform my laptop. I can take my laptop anyway.

This is only other brand of Laptop I would seriously consider at this point.

I have nothing against people who use PCs my family are all PC users. Hell, I use one at work (which runs great.) but now I may never go back. It's not rare anymore to see people leave PCs because of the problems they have experienced. If you want to hear some stories I can tell you all about Windows and how I got a corrupt version. Good times.

I still have a PC Desktop which I use to this day. The thing is a tank and won't die on me.
I have Windows 7 installed on my Mac for school though. I need it for a stupid stats program that JUST came out with a Mac version, but it's like $200 so forget that.

I like Windows 7. It seems to be everything Vista should have been, just 2 years later.

I'm not here to deny that the price tag can be a bit much, and I would never buy a Mac desktop, or that the cult kids are obnoxious, but the laptops are in a whole different league.
Agreed. Why anyone buys desktops at all, in any brand, gets me. I can understand people who work with graphics, but random kids playing games? Seriously? I spent $300 on my XBox 360 years ago and it still plays HD games. How much have desktop PC gamers sunk on their 3 graphics cards and their desktop PC in the same time? I guess I use all the money I save from not gaming on my computer to pay the "Apple tax"?

"OMG, I have an Intel Core i7 with Geforce x 95000000 graphics!!!!"

Great, your computer is super fast! Now go watch some porn, run 2 anti-spyware programs, check your email and play some Call of Duty and Civ5, YOU POWER USER!

I kid, but seriously. I dont care if Mr Desktop PC's porn vid loads 3 seconds faster or if they can get shadows on Crysis. Good for them, I'm going to go play some XBOX.

Winamp? Really?

I used a crap Acer when I started college (Scranton) in 2005, and most kids at school used iTunes to go with their iPods. Then we all used MyTunes Redux to steal each others music. Much of the backbone of my music collection on iTunes is from Freshman year of college as well as my old CD collection.

Apple has been far more aggressive about going on the offensive with their patents than just about anyone else. I recently read about an exchange Jobs had with one of the Google guys (forget which, but it was Brin, Page, or maybe Schmidt). Jobs wanted to go after something Google was doing when the Googler calmly reminded him how stupid that would be since Google apparently has way more patents it could go after Apple with, but so far they've chosen not to. I'm doing a horrible job telling the story, but I definitely chuckled at how quickly Jobs had to retreat.
