On his website, Simon, the outspoken creator of "The Wire," heaped high praise on the video, which he watched Tuesday morning after Williams emailed it to him.

"I woke up this morning to an an email from Michael K. Williams, with this video linked. Hilarious. Just great," he writes.

Did he have a hands? Did he have a face? Yes? Then it wasn't us.

I'm halfway through season 4 right now, second watch-thru of the series. Amazing season, giving 3 a run for its money.

I just watch an episode last night after a long lay off.

Daniels:"The job? You think the job is going to save you? Chain of command that is all I heard in that room."

McCnullty: "Where's your chain of command? Did you show that evidence to your Major? How about your Corporal? What's a shift Lieutenant doing going through the back door to Deputy Ops?"

I just love the dialogue. Every bit of it. Makes me cringe when hear some of the stuff on TV today.

I have to say I liked the Sopranos better. For me, it comes down to prefering the deep, in-depth focus on Tony's screwed-up psychology over the sprawling, everything-and-the-kitchen-sink panorama of The Wire.

But they were both great shows.

I realize its a bit obvious but this is still my favorite scene (especially the rat running across the street):

Yes, I eventually liked both him and Burrell more than I ever liked Daniels. Sometimes it's just as fascinating that a major aspect of a character is omitted and the viewer is just left to wonder, and Rawls was a good example of that.

Only the finale left. I am taking my time because I will have no reason to live once I see it.

Favorite Season 5 moment, and possibly favorite moment in the show ever.

The look on McNulty's face the whole time is priceless.

just curious, anyone watch Treme? It's by the makers of the Wire apparently(they have about ten actors that were on the wire). Personally, I'm not digging it all that much... too much music and only a handful of the characters are interesting IMO.

Yeah I couldn't get into it either. It was slowed paced like The Wire except the stories & characters weren't that interesting. So it was just slow.

I watched the first few episodes of Treme when it came out. I enjoyed it but didn't really want to watch much more. I'll probably revisit it now that I have HBO GO on my Xbox 360, and don't have to download it.

I started Treme a year ago, but had to stop because episode 3 wouldn't work. It was incredibly slow, but I would have kept watching. I'll probably give it another shot after I finish The Sopranos.

Has anyone watched Generation Kill?

watched the whole first season and like 3 episodes of season 2 of Treme, finally had to give it up, it's just a pesky pole away from being a home run, but seems they were more concerned with showing the musical aspect of new orleans rather than a plot. The only characters I liked were that white guy with the glasses and that beautiful half asian girl who played the flute. Your messed up episode 3 did you a favor IMO.

Generation kill was pretty good if my memory serves me, pretty decent war scenes for a TV show

Ive watched the Wire in it's entirety like 4 times, after Game of Thrones season 2, think I may give it a 5th go around, unless someone has a suggestion for something else?

Treme is okay. Nothing spectacular, but it is watchable.

Generation Kill is really good, not The Wire good, but still a really good miniseries with some excellent acting performances.
