I don't think he's threatened, I think he actually likes the game. I think he might have even figured out who it was, by his smirk at the end when it says "Harold".
I also thought the girl was the lawyer that Reese saved from the Child Services Agency worker. She was fiiiine.

He has other things going on as well. It's interesting to see Reese have Fuscoe trailing Finch to see what his deal is. It's not strictly a procedural anymore. You have the Elias story line as well as this new hacker.
watched the latest episode last night, thought it was pretty good. hopefully it won't get cancelled. I haven't liked a show liked this since x-files or 24. though caviezel acts like a robot it seems.

wouldn't it be cool if finch was the final villian in this show? he's such a mysterious character. I bet he was a villian in the past, that's why he doesn't want reese to know anything about him. also, i can see reese having a love affair on this show at some point. it's going to happen, i think.

I don't think it will play out like this, but perhaps he created the machine to test whether or not he can pull off the perfect crime at some point, one that even the all-seeing machine can't pick up on.

Possible. Also, when the machine was first invented, his buddy, Goodwin from Lost, gets targeted by the machine. Either he was killed by the government for his secrets, or by Finch himself. I'm thinking it's the government and it was his death that led Finch to want to stop these things to happen and led him to Reese.
I want Emerson to be the good guy, I've seen him be Johnny B. Bad on Lost.

can't believe shows like alcatraz get more attention than this show. cmon, it has jesus in it!
I like the basic plot of Alcatraz along with the camera work and soundtrack but POI is a better written show and smarter show. I just wish CBS would make it a bit more bloody.
Person of Interest is easily the best new show on TV right now. I'm also glad that I don't have to worry about it getting cancelled anymore. The show started off with roughly 13 million viewers per week, then dropped down to around 11 million per week, but now it's up to 15 million per week. I've never seen that happen to a show before.
