Tinordi was great today. Did everything right. Pretty good skater for a guy his size. Not the most skilled with the puck, but he'll improve with time.

Avtsin is dominant when he has the puck. He could use his size to get to the middle, and he could certainly be more dilignet on the back check, but hey, it's just one day.

Subban didn't have it today. No doubt he's among the most talented of them all, but got out of his game early on. Something obviously irritated him and it carried on for the whole scrimmage.

Apart from his goal, Maxwell was not very involved. he better hear the wake-up call soon...

If he got that big you might as well put him in the net

So far from what I have seen from Tinordi before camp, my only concerns have been:

1. Passes have no snap

2. Does not seem to have a slapshot, or at least is not confident about it. He seems to use the wrist shot a lot. If somebody actually sees him take a slapshot, let me know (I have seen one slap shot at the net in 3 games). His wrist shot is good though

Skating and defensive play are good though. Plays smart

Too bad Montreal isn't in the rookie tournament here in London. Toronto, Ottawa, Pittsburgh and Chicago rookies are in town all week. I'm going to see Toronto vs Sens tomorrow

Exactly. Except Missiaen is only 220 on that 6'8" frame

And he's here with 215 pounds sculpted onto his 6-foot physique. He added seven pounds over the summer, a natural weight gain he says came from working 12 weeks in Toronto with his trainer, Clance Laylor.

"It's constructive," Subban said of the gain. "At this level, guys are bigger and stronger and faster. Once I stepped on the ice, I felt faster and stronger, just in the corners. It's going to make me that much better and make my life easier. ...

Hadn't heard of him. Looked him up on youtube and was impressed though. I'll have to check out a show sometime.

Bunch of quick (~30 second) Subban videos up on Habs Inside/Out.
Mentions that Markov is more vocal than people think, he just chooses the right time to say something.

Dumont and Gallagher are interesting as always, love the small players who play like they don't care how big they're supposed to be to make the NHL.
There are players of all sizes in the NHL, not sure how guys like Dumont and Gallagher would need to be worried about it, especially the edge they play with. If guys like Briere can play in the NHL there is no doubt these two can.

There's no video from yesterday yet is there? I haven't been able to find any on TSN or RDS, although there is some brief shots in the Leblanc video on TSN. Seems weird that there wouldn't be anything up yet, even just a youtube video from someone that was there.

Humm... not the same level of talent here... Briere might be soft but he's a gazillion times more talented than them.

Gio has a thicker/stronger build than Briere and Kane and some other smaller players.

I'm very intrigued by Engqvist...looking forward to seeing if he could unexpectantly earn a roster spot with the Habs.

Donnay is about the same height as Tinordi but even lighter. He looks like a giraffe out there. But oddly he looks like he is going to be skilled, not just big
