Sounds okay. Not cheap not expensive. Just okay. Glad to have him signed tho and hopefully he can continue where he left off with the Avs.

Very good re-signing IMO. Fair contract for both.

A steal if he produces like he finished last year, and not bad terms if he's back to is old Coyotes days. Overall good deal for both.

The potential is there for this to be a steal of a contract for the Avs for a couple years, but I would have thought a one year contract for Mueller to prove that he doesn't go back to his moping around like he did in Phoenix the last couple of years would have been more fitting. That said even if Mueller flops this isn't a hard contract for the Avs to swallow so all in all not too bad I guess.

Finally.

2 million is pretty good. Maybe a bit high by looking just at his numbers, but the potential is obviously there, as shown by his numbers with us. Not only that, but the Avs actually NEED to spend it to get to the cap floor. In fact, I'm still not sure if they made it to the floor.

Mueller looked rejuvenated in Denver, lets hope it continues. He was absolutely magnificent and took the PP to a whole new level with he RH blast of a point shot.

Happy about the signing, he will be an important piece of the Avs 2010-2011 team if he recovers fully and confirms his last season's play with the Avs

More than I think he should be getting, but it doesn't cause any harm or anything.

What was the wrong track thing about again? Motivational problems?

With Mueller's case being somewhat unique, I think both sides could have dug their heels into their respective positions and made strong cases one way or another, so I'm glad that this was resolved before starting camp.

This is going to make the off-season in 2 years very interesting. Duchene, O'Reilly, Stewart, Mueller, Yip, and Quincey will all be up for new contracts then. Its a good thing we'll have a lot of money to throw around by that time.

That being said, I'm happy he finally got signed.

A lot of 2 year deals for these higher profile RFA's this offseason.

Avs have one contract running past summer of 2012. Most Anderson will be signed to a long contract during this season too.

Lots of flexibility for the Avs which is nice but also a bit scary trying to get a bunch of players resigned when summer of 2012 comes.

Don't you mean 3 years, after the lockout?
