Edit - Wanted to post a picture of Boardwalk Hall for those who haven't been, really cool venue. Reminded me a lot of the spectrum. Neither of those videos really show the venue. This was from the 10/30 show.

They're playing up in Washington Heights tonight if you can make it into the city by 8. It can't be too hard to scalp up tickets this close to the show, but I've never tried at the United Palace.
Thanks for the heads up. Work schedule would not permit that unfortunately, though in my high school days I might have tried to go to the show and worked the next morning with out sleeping. 26 is not supposed to feel this old.
Ain't it beautiful? Totally blew my mind when I first heard it (a coworker introduced me to it today). I was like, "wow, so this is what sex to my ears feels like." When you think about it, this genre of music totally makes sense. It's just a fusion of dance music from different generations, and the result is pure awesomeness. I can't get enough.

That kid cutting up his mom's chartreuse shag carpet from 1978 in his wood paneled basement has a certain charm to it too. Doesn't hurt things.

No, not heard of him. Well, I'm not into the whole electronic/lounge scene, but still surprising I guess. Asked some of my friends, most of them have never heard of him either. Just one knew him and he is a big fan of that music style.
So, I'd say he's far from being big here (in a sense that he is a hallmark of culture in Linz and that everyone has at least heard of him), which is a shame because his music really is ****ing brilliant.
