Game two: Leafs vs Pens

I really like McKegg, Ross and Blacker.

Too bad we lost it @ the end there with 34 seconds left.

Dude, change your title, you're spoiling it for the people on this board who are watching it late... sheesh.

I didn't see this game, but last game I noticed McKegg's number was 69, is that his normal number?

Scrivens played very well. #83 Crezenski (or whatever the spelling is), Kenny Ryan, and Irwin were the best forwards, I thought. D'Amigo and Olden were solid once again. I though Jackson looked OK. Gysbers was good, apart from losing positioning on Jeffrey on the late goal.

I didnt watch the game, but I heard that our goaltending was superb, Blackner had a good game. The pens were apparantly dirty SOB's out there, but not surprising with that team, they have 3 of the more dirtiest players in the league (crosby, malkin, orpik), probably figured they need a few more to beat the flyers as thw dirtiest team ever.

Can't wait til Tues!! Sure we are playing the Rookie Sens, but it's the same jersey. Let the battle of Ontario heat up, Rookies style!

I was very impressed with Scrivens... Very impressed. He kept them in the game when they were, for the most part, getting dominated.

I also liked Olden, and McKegg and Ryan. irwin played well but should have buried some of his chances.

Also, with olden, for being the youngest guy on the ice, he sometimes looks to be the best, but he's gotta work on his shot, it's very weak, and also get bigger... for a tall guy he is very lanky.

leafsrule123 should have some sort of suspension, it's one thing to accidentally post it in a thread title but entirely another to go into the hour delay thread. Seriously, takes all the fun out of it. Some of us don't have access to the Rogers feed and have no choice other than to watch the hour delay.

Anyway, Scrivens was awesome. Some flashes from McKegg and Ryan, Crescenzi doesn't appear to be a fighter, and Irwin seems to have trouble up the center with the puck but isn't bad once he's got it in the oppositions end.

Scrivens was very, very good. Really quite liked him.

Gysbers has impressed me so far, as well.

Impressed by Scrivens. I thought he would play like Reimer last rookie camp but, clearly, he played better than expected.

Irwin, although he has an awkward stride, isn't actually that slow of a skater. I noticed him making some very solid passes, but at the same time, he needs to make some better decisions on when to shoot and he, like someone alluded to earlier, needs to finish.

Olden was alright. Kid gets a little too much hype on these boards, but for his age, he held his own. Still took some real bad shots from terrible angles.

D'Amigo was pretty invisible to me. His skating, though, I will say has gotten better from when I saw him at the WJC.

Wished Mueller and Kadri played. Also, isn't this the second year in a row that Devane's been injured in the rookie tournament? Everytime I wanna see this kid, he's injured.

And another thing: Anyone think Kenny Ryan could turn out to be a less gritty Scott Nichol?
