Probably pulled a muscle. Worst case scenario, he has a bad camp, starts in Hamilton, blows up the AHL, and is back by november.

Man, how often do we see guys go down in the early season due to groin pulls or w/e. It's so common. It's just getting a bit annoying that he's the 4th prospect to already get injured before the reg. season. Geez.

hope it's minor.

Agreed.

Its simply unfortunate that we won't get to see his moves right away...

I wonder how long he'll be out for, it's already been 10 days according to reports. Pre-season games start 9 days from now, let's hope that's enough time.

Just a minor injury it seems. No need for alarm I wouldn't think.

Doesn't sound like it's anything serious, and hopefully it's not.

I lol'ed at the reporter who asked him what he'd do if he heard "Jaaaaro Jaaaaro" if he made a mistake on the ice.

This tells me all I need to know. It appears to not be a serious injury and one that he'll probably be able to heal before the start of the season.

Minor injuries like these happen all the time. Unfortunately, there's always a way that people find these things out and then the media circus follows, turning it into an article so that fans reading it can blow up and go crazy.

Typical Monday night.

Good news for David Desharnais, I hope that he will seize the opportunity this time ^^. However, Eller will be back in no time because we have to let the fans think that he is as useful as Halak was with the Habs.

I'm a Blues fan, came over here to see if it was true or not.....

Quite frankly Eller has a shoulder made of glass, he's had it injured at least 3 times since the Blues had drafted him and he broke his wrist.

I'm pulling for Lars and hoping that he pans out for you guys

I can think of Eller injuring his shoulder twice - both in Sweden. He didn't have surgery after popping it out of socket the first time and then he dislocated it again in a 2008-09 SEL playoff game. The Blues had him get surgery on it and after the rehab he reported that his shoulder hadn't felt that good in years and he didn't have a problem with it all of last season. Yes, he also broke his wrist playing for the Danish national team a few years back as well. He's had some injuries but nothing too major IMO. Hopefully this latest abdominal injury isn't too serious. It doesn't sound like it is. I think MTL fans will like Eller quite a bit...as long as they don't expect him to replace Halak's impact immediately.

I expect at least 5-6 shutouts before years end

martin mcguire on ckac said he could be back on the ice as early as tomorrow, so no biggies.

Reminds me to stretch a little extra before the beer league starts in a couple weeks. I don't think I have abs anymore though.
